:mjpls::mjpls:I take the E train and the R to work and my stop is Roosevelt Ave then to grand ave and if you ride that line you know no low lives get off there. Just whites getting ready flood Jackson heights and long time Asian and Spanish people. At night you get bums on the train but they cracked down on them earlier this year so it's much better now. Going to work u rarely get a seat but going home it's fine. Now what I want to know is how the hell did 23st Ely stop get 90% white all off a sudden, I had plans to move there but now the rent must be crazy . Edit : I don't work in transit I run a design showroom .
gentrification.
the L and the G are conduits for that

What's a typical workday look like? Do you work the same line all day or do you work different lines in a given day?
same line all day. caught the R train today :sadcam:
but being i'm a "rookie" i bounce different lines day to day.

favorite cinematic action scene in a subway/train or station??
the whole unstoppable movie. shows why safety features are needed on the tracks.

i don't know where the next trains are unless we see each other on the approach.
for me personally..if i see it coming, i'll wait.
late night though, it's only 20 minutes if you miss it. i know it sucks after the party or whatever, but it's better than most subway systems where they shut down after a certain hour or once per hour:scusthov:

:gag: @ BART. shyt had be acting like Cinderella at night trying to get home from Oakland back to San Francisco.

i've seen people get busted moving car to car.. jumping the turnstile though, i'm sure they have been caught. i've seen some people jump right in front of me..i'm like:manny: sit down and stfu

breh mta had a posting hiring for conductors up a couple weeks ago. i applied

how long does that take before i receive a call back? and whats the hiring process like? do you have to take one of the generic tests like for firefighet, nypd, corrections etc.
mta got the testing now, i took it when it was dcas. so nowadays, i can't tell you anything about what the testing includes, or the call back. i just know the old heads are finally retiring
