I'll just leave this here brehs, don't be fooled :brehwow2:

Don’t let the white man fool you don’t let the white man smile at you and lull you to sleep.

Behind that smile is a vicious heart. Behind those teeth is an animal like beast who don't have it within him to want for you what he wants for himself and his own kind.

Don't let that man fool you. When you look at that man you're supposed to see him for exactly what he is. If you wanna know what he is examine his deeds. Forget his words he got a whole lot of pretty sounding words.

Watch his deeds. His deeds are like the deeds of a snake. The deeds of a serpent. The deeds of a dragon. The deeds of a reptile. The deeds of a beast. Why nothing but a race of beasts would take dogs and sic em on little black babies. Nothing but a race of beasts would sic dogs on black children and black women. Nothing but a race of beasts.

Do you wear shorts anytime the temp is over 60?

I wear shorts in the summer on weekends or when I'm on vacation. I would like an a$$hole if I wore shorts to work so most of time I am wearing pants. However, there is a lot of truth to the white people and shorts in cold weather thing. It was especially out of control at university. Dudes would wear shorts year round.

Along the lines of a similar stereotype, I am guilty of wearing flip flops in public outside of a beach setting.

Congrats on coming out... :obama:

So brave... :wowwow:

I SUPPOSE I'll ask a question. Hm.

What are three important things that YOU feel should be understood before there is any progress in race relations (from both black people and white people)?

...and when you speak to a black person, do you automatically try to gear the conversation toward something that you feel would be relatable or do you keep it the same with everyone, regardless of race? :patrice:

Being Canadian, I am more familiar with white and first nation race relations but the same basic principles apply I figure.

I think a universal understanding that skin colour doesn't dictate behavior is necessary for race relations to improve

1. No but I live in Canada. Could be different here.
2. I think I prescribe intent to racism. Not sure if someone can be inadvertently racist.
3. Guilt is a luxury. White guilt is pretty offensive in my opinion. Atrocities have been committed by every ethnicities. White people being guilty over past atrocities speaks to a bit of a god complex in my opinion.
I dont think many white people feel truly guilty. Its more of a frustration cause they really want that blank slate. Its hard for white people to accept that theirs a socioeconomic reality that cant be overlooked... Even if everyone in this country has equal rights.
