Aspergers/ autism in the black community

Someone I know has a baby that has it. Everybody knew before the diagnosis but mom didnt wanna hear. The kid is 3 and has no speech skills apart from babbling, doesn't interact or play well with other kids and makes zero eye contact. She doesnt give the child a bedtime and he'll be up till 2 or 3 in the morning because she hasnt created a routine, because of this he ends up having 6 hours or so of sleep a night. He's a picky eater and he tends to gets frustrated very easily because be cannot communicate and he ends up throwing a tantrum or becoming aggressive. It doesnt help that she keeps him locked inside either.

I met a girl with Aspergers at college. She told her experience, symptoms, etc. We vibed pretty well! Neurodiverse are just human like us.

I thought I had Autism at one point, but it was just social anxiety. I do have some traits of SPD like detachment and isolation. Its mild though.

my youngest cousin has autism, he had communication issues when he was younger and would often want to be left alone. hes worked hard on that for years
