They are idiots for releasing the statement and now cancelling this for whatever reasons knowing it both will give the haters ammo. All this does is amplify those people and set the narrative against your game even more. Also I think we have to be realistic about Japanese, a lot of ppl were caping for them saying they weren't against it but I am sure there is a crowd of them as well, they are one of the most xenophobic societies I know so them being completely cool with this is far off reality.

Yeah, there is definitely a large anti-black gaming population in japan which is why a lot of their games look the way they do
