Now they are saying that they are getting rid of the season pass and making the first dlc free, does that mean I should cancel my Gold edition? If, at least partially, what comes in the Gold version is gonna be free now, what's the point of paying the original price?

they're supposed to be refunding you so you can reorder. May as well contact ubisoft support.
