They removed blood from NPC's. So now when you slaughter NPC's in a village, theres no blood

this was the Day 1 patch. they removed the NPC blood due to Japanese governemnt officials crying.

still there on enemies during combat
This is false

Japanese officials have said nothing about this game

It was one person talking about destruction of real shrines that cacs spun into a talking point that they where talking about the game

And there’s still blood

The Assassin’s Creed Shadows question was asked by Japanese politician and member of the House of Councillors of Japan, Hiroyuki Kada. Kada, who will campaign for re-election this summer, said:

“I fear that allowing players to attack and destroy real-world locations in the game without permission could encourage similar behavior in real life. Shrine officials and local residents are also worried about this. Of course, freedom of expression must be respected, but acts that demean local cultures should be avoided.”

Prime Minister Ishiba responded:

“How to address this legally is something we need to discuss with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Defacing a shrine is out of the question - it is an insult to the nation itself. When the Self-Defense Forces were deployed to Samawah, Iraq, we ensured they studied Islamic customs beforehand. Respecting the culture and religion of a country is fundamental, and we must make it clear that we will not simply accept acts that disregard them.”

This is what the grifters are currently using but without the context of

Those are accurate translations of the exchange, but what’s the context surrounding them? Our colleagues at IGN Japan helped us understand the situation.

What needs to be understood here is that Japan has seen record numbers of overseas visitors in the wake of the country reopening its borders after the pandemic and the lure of the weak yen. In this government budget meeting the politician Hiroyuki Kada twinned his complaints against Shadows with the controversial subject of what he called “over tourism” and an attendant perceived rise in vandalism and graffiti in Japan.

His argument is that if players are able to deface a temple or harm individuals with a katana in the game, they may be inspired to do it in real life when they visit Japan, similar to the age-old argument that Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto inspire copycat violence.

Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba responded that if such actions were taken in real life, he would oppose them, but the “if” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. His comments were aimed at theoretical real-life copycat actions rather than at the game itself.

I just got back from Japan last week and there is a shyt load tourist over there littering and doing some absurd shyt. I saw a cigarette but outside a temple. So I get where the PM is coming from. They’re also strict about the shrines. You’re not allowed to take pictures inside of them.

This is my first Assassin's Creed game, so I'm very late to the party. Died quite a bit because I'm not used to doing stealth combat. Yaskue and Naoe feel very different. Naoe feels almost weightless compared to Yaskue. After getting adjusted I'm really liking this game.

Got past the prologue and did some exploring.

shyt lit, baby.

I will say, although the combat system is really good…it’s a noticeable step below Ghosts’ greatness.

Nah, Ghost was that boring stance dancing, rock paper scissors.
I much prefer kicking MFers into the next universe :ohlawd:

Oh and if you don’t have Japanese voice acting on, you’re pouring jelly on yourself.

I like the English VA, gotta support the homie.

This shyt good?

Worth it on base ps5 pro, if I play on quality mode?

How’s the combat?

How is the stealth?

Is there too much bloat?
FYI I'm playing on Expert mode and yea that matters. Enemies are much smarter and can spot you on rooftops if you don't break LOS quickly.

Very, got 32 hours so far. Level 29.

Can't answer that, playing on PC.

Combat is the best yet, combos flow, enemies make sure to surround you and force you to make decisions. Like a much better Odyssey.
I'm partial to Yasuke though, my GOD did they make him a one man army. Love it. Naoe can fight too but I need more skills to make it easier for her.

Stealth is the best it's ever been, prone and using actual shadows makes it just. Damn. Going in and out without making a sound is peak.

Very little if at all. You have icons all over the map of course but they recreated a big section of Japan. So it's no where near as bad as Valhalla and Odyssey and these GRAPHICS make me want to ride to my destination most of the time. Pictures don't do this game justice in the art department.

I can see why someone would rate this a 9/10. This is the best AC yet. I hated Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla so take that as you will.
Hope I can replay missions later, I need to run Thunder and Lightning back :wow:
