The older ones had more famous actors in them, Jamie Foxx, Harvey, Martin, Cedric, etc. Only well known actors in the newer balck sitcoms is rudy and the looking dude from the Tyler Perry movies

Old sitcoms actually used battle tested comedians who were already in their primes or just getting there. Now a days it's a bunch of nobodies.
