We are the only community where the expectations of the family is on the black woman. Where the expectations of the community is on the black woman. That's why it's over for us. Whenever you have a buncha men sitting around making excuses for why they can't get a buncha young people under control, why it's not their responsibility to contribute to their own community, why they can't do this, why they can't do that, why they can't do anything but go get a job working for white people, and then look to blame everything on the woman, you might as well pack it up, and permanently bend the knee to the white man and ask him to come in and fix us in whatever way he sees fit. Even if that means sending the men back to the plantation while he enjoys the women.

And, I dare say, there are good women out there that is willing to let a MAN lead. And don’t respond back with no fukking IG whores or no TikTok bytches or none of that stupid shyt. Also, the very thing you speak of could be resolved by both parties prioritizing marriage from the get go before having kids.

At the end of the day it is the responsibility of parents to raise their children properly. It is not hard to teach children to be responsible and decent. There are classes available to teach people proper parenting so there is no excuse for being trifling and not investing in your children health and well-being. A bucket of water is filled one drop at a time. People need to make sure the drops they put in the bucket is good water.

First paragraph is very insightful. Why do you think Black people as a collective no longer view marriage as a necessity to building a family together? Look at many Black celebs, they don't even get married anymore but got kids everywhere.

A lot of people see wedding planning and marriage and rituals of knowing the in-laws as tiring and daunting. Some rather knock up broads and raise kids haphazardly.
