What’s funny is a lot of baby daddies are these “average” men that y’all insist get no play. A lot are your average blue collar, warehouse, UPS, construction worker. And a lot of baby mamas are average office, retail/customer service, social service/medical field workers. There’s a difference between the criminal and working class element. And there’s also a difference between “baby mama/baby daddy culture” and “criminal culture”. There’s people with college degrees having kids without marriage. Men and women.

But on topic, the definition of “community” is more difficult nowadays with people working so long and commuting so much. Working people are tired and don’t have as much time to give back to the community or even have other hobbies. Back in my parents generation, they got married if there was a pregnancy scare and both men and women had to grow up. They also had more parental support because grandmas used to be at home to help. Now grandma still working, and mama and daddy are both doing them. Multiply this for an entire community, plus racism and discrimination, and this is where we are.

Yeah, the average work commute back in 1980 was only 6 minutes, now people traveling 2-4 hours PER DAY round trip to and from work. For ONE source of income. The economy is broken.

The men destroying the community get rewarded more and receive more recognition than the men trying to save it

Clout demons that offer no real tangible value to generational wealth or solid family structure. The superficial "All or nothing" mentality has the black youth in a stance.

And, I dare say, there are good women out there that is willing to let a MAN lead. And don’t respond back with no fukking IG whores or no TikTok bytches or none of that stupid shyt. You’re not gonna find them on there. Men big up those bytches that ain’t shyt or have no morals and self respect, and then you wanna point your fukking fingers and say women are the bad guys. Truth is, some of y’all don’t respect the good women that would let you lead and play their position anymore than those silly dilly bytches respect good, respectful men with leadership capabilities.

OK, but where is the father of your sons? Not to throw shots at you or anyone, just that the good guys you talk about you passed up on.

It is on Black men to police their our families we create. I will help my community, but I am not going risk my life for the community. No, that risk is only reserved for family and very close friends. Outside of that, the best I can do for the community is make sure me and mine are not adding to the havoc being caused in the community.

You can't convince some people to do right, when they are determined to do wrong. You avoid and protect your family from them, not try to police them. Leave that to those who have taken up the career and pay to do it. Time is Money, and I do not have enough of either to be wasting them on incorrigibles.

We must remember, they claim Satan picked the weakest link in the garden. Fast forward to the 1960s, when black women was afforded the opportunity to get on welfare. Black women had no problem keeping the black man out the house so she could get her benefits. Meanwhile, white women kept a man in hers while she got her food stamps. If a black woman found a way to free slaves, then surely she could've kept a man in the house.

I need to see some hard data on that. I can't see a married couple splitting just so one can get a welfare check. Even if the man had to leave that doesn't mean he had to not be in his kids lives

First paragraph is very insightful. Why do you think Black people as a collective no longer view marriage as a necessity to building a family together? Look at many Black celebs, they don't even get married anymore but got kids everywhere.

The Church use to preach the power of family and structure.
Now the Church, TV and Social Media champion single mothers. It use to be shameful, not it's a badge of honor.

Most of the things and people we champion in Black Culture (Rappers, Celebrities, Ratchet Housewives, Megan the Stallions, Gangsters) are very toxic and inconducive to Black Family.

They were never married, they just had a child together. If the man wasn't working and the woman was getting a check that says she can't have a man in the house. As soon as the brother comes home from having a beer 10 minutes past her curfew, she putting him out. You know a man is on thin ice with a woman if she paying the bills.
