If you cut them off you also cut off the opportunity to change them. A few Republicans got a bit of a wake up call via the jan 6th hearings.

It's a complex issue, I'm liberal but as I get older I find myself leaning more conservative.

Gonna be alot of posturing in this thread.

First cut off your conservative boss and the owner at your job. I'll be interested to see if that will happen
Transactional relationships vs interpersonal, breh. Your boss is your meal ticket, not your bestie.

Source: I worked under two Trump thumpers who were outside of that some of the coolest cats I ever worked for.

How was he like as a kid ?
As a kid he wasn't that bad.
but I noticed the older he got he started just finding racist jokes a bit too funny for my comfort and thought Because I was his token black friend I would give it a pass.

I remember the dynamic between me and him. he was considered a nerd, but because he was white, he saw himself deep down better than me even though he was not really popular at all. Girls would reject him. He would say Terrible things and think it was funny. He got beat up and bullied by basketball players.

I remember when I would bring him out to bars when we 1st turned 21 and he would be so bad people around me would tell me never to bring him around again. Saying the wrong things at the wrong times, acting like a drunk a$$hole, nearly getting us kicked out of places.

Then he graduated...moved to Baltimore and got a good paying job and some money and turned into a complete fukking racist douchebag

He would date Black women and even the Black women he dated said to me that they thought he was racist.

And he was always making some condescending comments about me being black too that I just could not take anymore.

I actually told him to stop calling me 6 years ago because I told him hes racist. I told him...dont text me...dont call me...lose my number. But he thought he could get back into my good graces by calling me not too long ago.

It hurt him to hear me call him racist...even with all the racist stuff he said and did. And I dont care...he didnt care about my feelings when he made jokes about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin or when he left me to die when i got jumped and ran like a b to a bar on the way to a college party 15 years ago. And when he refused to help me out when I was homeless 7 years ago.

Maybe people should be taken at face value before anything else, instead of being pried into regarding their personal beliefs so that you can find something to be contentious with them about.

Politics is a very easy topic to avoid with people.

:what: Most of them are too far gone. Motherfukker on Facebook told me that mitch McConnell of all people was being controlled by the democrats and then they went on to a write a whole essay about democrats. People like that can’t be saved

sure they don't.. You believe they are concerned about literal white supremacists in Washington? LOL

I wouldn't generalize. A whole lot of them are ignorant and naive. Flipside is those who blindly vote Dem aren't concerned about liberal white supremacists in Washington who take the black vote for granted either. I'm not a both sides type, but theres enough similarities to raise an eyebrow on this subject. People are nuanced and as I mentioned earlier, politics makes for strange bedfellows.

BTW...i had a friend I moved here to Denver with almost 4 years ago I had to kick out 2 years ago. He was a Jewish Trump supporter. He was a poor white Jewish guy from South Brooklyn that was a DJ that got cancelled for being a R*pist and claimed Libertarian but he was all about Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, CumTown, Ben Shapiro, Sam Hyde, *****, and wS facebook friends with a member of the Proud Boys.
:picard:

He was fukking TERRIBLE.

So terrible...even NYC Jews HATED his guts!!! They callled him a Jewish Nazi!
:wtf:
And i saw why.

He would always be finding racist jokes funny. Especially against Black people.
But if you talked ish on his people...he was ready to cry foul.

He would always watch WSHH vids and Slam Metal videos.

He rarely showered and didnt pay rent.
:scust:
He was talking about how Trump was hip hop and a true NYCer and how he was punk and awesome...and then say I don't like him...but ...and then proceed to shower him with conpliments!

:dahell:

He eventually became owner of a moving company...and then lost that movong company by being the worst business owner of all time. Scamming people...overcharging them...not paying his employees on time...
Eventually he lost his business...all his trucks got towed...he lost all his money and all the people who worked for him quit.

He's now reduced to scamming people for a moving company he has been kicked out of completely and given new ownership for depostit money...then not sending any crews the day of the move.
:mjlol:

He singlehandedly reduced the BBB rating of this business from a B+ to an F.

it really depends on your relationship with the person. letting them into my inner circle for instance is a no go. but if they are a soft shoe republican then they may slip through the cracks. in this case, keep it to yourself and we'll be ok.

i dont make being a liberal my whole personality, so if they don't make it their whole thing then realistically it may be okay. some people do turn into conservatives as well. so you have to update your relationship at that time. its a process.

Some of y'all put too much weight into politics.
Late but, there isn't a single thing that you do in your life that isn't influenced by politics. Not a single thing, you breathing right now is influenced by politics. Now with that perspective, see how stupid I think people are that don't take that shyt seriously?
