At this point old Source Magazines are like Dead Sea Scrolls! Which issues do you own?

Quite a bit from early/mid 90's on down to maybe 04, XXL from 97 until about the same. end up switching over to King Magazine full time.

Dope.

Do any hip hop magazines exist in physical print in 2026?

Other magazines do, I never see hip hop ones.

I remember seeing the Raekwon tarantula XXL on the stands in stores in high school.

Somewhere I have (or had) every issue from 96-2002/03

Ones in particular, I hope didn't get tossed over the years, are the 2pac RIP issue, Biggie RIP issue, Vibe Death Row issue, and some of the Wu joints.

Dope.

I remember going to the Yonge street HMV to get that black with red Wu logo source signed by Cappadona.

I was skateboarding downtown that day too. I had white shelltoes with black fat laces, baggy jeans, a big t shirt, backpack and my hair was spiked up but fro like (with what a white kid could do lol)

That issue is from June 1997 but I met Cappa around June 1998 so I was 16.

He stopped me in the line up after it was my turn to get the magazine signed. He looked me up and down and said "Yo! With that hair, and an all white suit! Yo, you'd look fly son!" Lol

I had the biggest grin on my face, gave him.dap and said "Aww man, fashion top from Cappadona!"

That moment made by year! His energy was so positive and great!

And he signed the inner front page poster with a tag in gold marker!

I have a few from the mid 2000’s. I actually have more XXL magazines than The Source. The last ones I brought were in 2011 when Nas was on the cover and he was interviewed by Tyler The Creator.

I recently found this old Source mag that I don’t even remember buying from the year 2000 with Eminem on the cover.

That was a pretty gnarly cover tbh. :ehh:

I would cop Source magazine and XXL religiously back in the day. All got lost in life tho....Ive recently been buying some of eBay, some of the copies sell for ridiculous money.

I recently got the XXL fold out cover when G-Unit was running the game. 50,Mobb deep, M.O.P and them. Classic.

I threw out like 90% of my collection years ago. I probably had a couple hundred of them at one point. Source, vibe, XXL, black men's, king, forbes, dupont registry, dub and many others. I could have made money off of them but I didn't have the time or space to store them anymore.

The one around the time Wu Forever came out with the W on the front in red (Black background). This one was around June of 1997.
