They don't force studios into franchise machines. They simply move the franchise to a different studio when the original one gets sick of making them.

343 was created to make halo. That's it.

The coalition had their game cancelled because Microsoft wanted them to be a gears of war studio.

Turn 10 has never made a game that wasn't forza.

They absolutely do force studios.


They tried to force bungie and bungie bounced at the first chance


Epic is not owned by Ms they couldn't force them to do anything so ms bought the rights and forced another studio to do it

Only reason GG is making Horizon is because nobody wants another killzone. If killzone was selling like Halo, they'd be making another one.

and there hasn't been a good spider-man game in ages and more an exclusive spider-man game. None of xbox's exclusive games can hold against the spider-man brand.

i don't know why GG ain't making another killzone but im sure we will see another killzone game sometime in the future. Sony usually doesn't let their studios stuck on one franchise like microsoft does.
if you check turn-10 studios and playground games , which are Microsoft studios , they haven't made any other game besides forza
343 industries is another Microsoft studio that has only made halo games , no wonder bungie had to buy themselves out in order to make something new.

No. they signed a 10 year contract to make halo games. Once that was up they moved on

Epic isn't owned or controlled by Microsoft. They did what they wanted to do.
