Epic didnt have the funds for Gears 4 thats why Microsoft took over. Polyphony hasnt made anything other then GT, Tourist Trophy was GT with bikes. Guerrilla finally caught a break after 10 years of Killzone. Santa Monica has been working on God of War for a decade and did some side projects.

Sony isnt really any different but they do got more studios and games.

Games these days are just too damn expensive for them to fail.

People have intellectual debates on the internet all the time. what you're describing is what's mostly happening here. two or more people spitting stock console wars talking points back and forth and denying, ignoring, or changing the subject in the face of the truth is Fox News level debates. it's a completely meaningless conversation. at least people tune into Fox News to hear the echo chamber regurgitate their opinions back at them. spouting stock talking points at someone else who isn't even really listening to you and is also spouting stock talking points back it completely worthless.

Epic absolutely had the money for gears 4,they didnt want to make it. Have no idea where you got that from.

Polyphony made omega boost and motor toon.

Santa Monica has co-developed/produced many other games like flower, journey,pixel junk,the order 1886, bound,everybody's gone to the rapture,star hawk, warhawk etc. They have tons of games on their resume.

Guerilla made shells hock and are now making horizon.


You can no way compare them to studios that literally haven't made a game outside of 1 franchise.

Sony is absolutely different.

Microsoft ain't out here making games like the last Guardian,gravity rush etc
