To all the brehs in here, don’t give up. If you’re not where you wanna be, things can change in heartbeat. Grew up in a fam that’s always been pretty well off, but with my folks, they had it, lost it for awhile, then got it right back. My pop started off as a high earner, life happened where he lost most of it, but in a span of 5 or so years, he got it back and has been set & on cruise control for awhile now. Now, he’s got my mama, and they’re about to build a new home on land he inherited, they got their grandchildren. Life is straight.
I make 6 figs now, but in this journey, realized all I need to make me happy is God and my family. I thank my father for always keeping me grounded, and when I went through my struggle, always advised me to keep pushing. Now, I’m just trying to maintain. Guide my baby girl through life, and retire somewhere in the country away from all the chaos. I’ll probably retire mid 50’s.
