Humans aren't designed to sit on their asses all day.

You should be exercising no matter the age. 20 mins of elevated heart rate, three times a week at an absolute MINIMUM.

Yes and diabetes and high blood pressure and cholesterol can catch up to someone quicker than they know

Imagine just even fast food all of the time and never working out[

That's pretty much me, I don't put on weight regardless of how much I eat:thumbsup:

I'd say get into it as early as you can so it becomes a lifestyle.

But it becomes a necessity in late 20's.
Yes.
My Aunt who's in her 50s text me out the blue and said:

Exercise
Get adequate sleep
Eat lots of fruits and veggies
Take care of your skin and hair and maintain..

She also told me she wish she could find me husband but whatever lol

i'm an old head, let me get that out of the way.

i started going to the gym 3 years ago.
i was doing 3-4 days a week the first year but i do 2 days a week now.
before i started going to the gym i was biking heavy, like 20-50 miles a week.

sometimes i look at people half my age and say "damn...how are you flabby and sick but i'm old enough to be your dad?"

i arm wrestled this dude at my job once.
he is almost half my age and quite a bit bigger than me.
i thought he was gonna just wash me.

we where at a stand still for over a minute, then he said "i have to stop." :damn:
i was like "really, we could keep going."

then he just let go.

that's when it really hit me that being in shape and working for it is so important.

Exercise won't do anything to curb pre-diabetes unfortunately, that's all diet there.

But to answer your question, I say 13.

Nah that's false

Diet and exercise can both help

I must not be aware. I have relatives with pre-diabetes, one specific in mind and she's a pro athlete (pro dancer) and her diet is basically everything. And she's in tip top shape, body built like a sculpture. But if her diet isn't clean then she's going to be having issues

Totally, it depends on the type of diabetes too. With Type 1 you will need insulin regardless. Type 2 whether you're pre-diabetic or diabetic, exercise can bring your long term glycemic hemoglobin back to normal levels. There's a lot of literature about that. But obviously optimizing both diet and exercise is the way to go. Americans tend to live in gluttony :hhh:
