My coworker told me a "story" about back when he used to produce music back in the late 90s & how he actually met Mark Morrison.

He said something along the lines of , his manager and him were hanging out at limelight (infamous nyc club) and was sitting in the lounge with Mark Morrison & his peoples.

Long story short they started chopping it up and Mark Morrison gave his number to my coworkers manager , my coworker got excited since he figured that would be a connect to get some placements & etc... his manager told him it wasn't for that but so they could fukk.

Needless to say he never made that connect.

The Djs back then made it a hit.

It was basically a copy & paste groove from this song

Maybe it was because I was a kid, but I don't remember it being a mega-hit. It was never on any countdowns. I also remember it being kinda laughable to some people when it dropped. Like it was a slow burn over the years, and right around 03-04 everyone and they mom just loved the song. Throwbacks on the radio, old school runs at the club, and house parties is how I really started seeing it get the juice.

I thought it was just me that heard that. I always thought that song was a mash-up of Games and Genius Of Love. Chuckii Booker is CRIMINALLY underrated.

Instant classic

I was 8 when this dropped in 96 and it was a number 1 hit song

it was the first time I saw a Jamaican british star/celebrity so I was gassed

:blessed:

Then when he went to jail it became the first of many times I saw a black man make it to the top just to get knocked off
