So....What was the point or your statement. Unless you are implying "God" didn't make the world habitable for humans day one.

I was answering your question, simple as that. There's something called natural selection, through which our species evolved to the point where we can survive on the planet we live on today (Let's not forget the tons of technology and instruments we as humans have developed to assist us in living here). Unlike the thousands of other species who died off because this planet was uninhabitable for them. Was that in God's plan too? :yeshrug:

But man(as we know it) has been here for tens of thousands of years more than likely.....way before what is called modern technology today..... and on top of that, they had striving civilizations..... not sure how the earth was being hostile to their existence pre smartphones

People have been creature of prey for a lot of top of predators in the past. Northern hemisphere was covered by miles of ice for millions of years. Africa even today is governed by long dry spells with rainy seasons that don't always come when they should. Watch any nature show and see how tough Africa can be for even well-adapted animals.

Controlling fire, making tools and weapons and growing our own food (instead hunting/gathering) are all forms of technology that were important steps in our survival. If you need a reality check, go get lost in a forest for a month and see if you can even survive.

Does intelligent design mean that some man or entity designed the universe with autocad or something? Explain what you're saying breh.

:snoop: It means something intelligent (i.e. not an unconscious universe) designed everything in existence. The how or why is irrelevant in this instance...

The earth was made perfect?

Yes.

You may want to re-think that statement, especially with the vermin(humans) running around fukking things up on it.

Humans fukking up has nothing to do with the earth being made perfect in the beginning.

Not to mention things like a slowly degrading ozone layer, but that's for the generation after next to worry about.:ld:

Arent humans the reason why its degrading? :jbhmm:

As much as the weak minded don't want to admit, an invisible santa claus looking motherfukker creating everything with a magic wand is nothing more than a fairy tale for adults.

Well of course. But the Torah, Christian bible, Quran, nor do any religion that has scriptures describe their "god" as a " santa claus looking motherfukker" so what are you even saying? That the government controlled churches have perverted truth? Who woulda thought!?!? :comeon:

The "the earth is perfect so there must be God" argument is flawed.

Look at the trillions of stars/planets that are not "perfect" to produce intelligent life, because one molecule was off in the process somewhere along the line.

We just happen to be the planet that everything worked out for, which is not that amazing considering the sheer damn near infinite amount of planets and stars out there.

And I think this set up is far from "perfect"; see: little kids who die from cancer when they're 2, a global population of humans unable to work together re: melanin, etc.

No, I didn't 'elude' to it. BTW, the actual term is 'allude'. Your problem is you're scientifically illiterate and rather than actually research what you're talking about, you're just spouting nonsense and hoping no one reads what you typed.

:snoop:

Breh, the ONLY way to detect Sirius B is in the infrared spectrum.

The Dogon had NO 'relationship' with Sirius B.

Please stop trying to insinuate otherwise since it's false.
Lol. I'm scientific illiterate but I graduated school with straight A's and was offer a full ride to two HBCUs and 1 pwi. Keep this debate about science and not attack my person. You focus more on the dogon then the original argument. I typed my previous message late at night so I'm not surprised I made a few grammatical errors. I was sleepy and trying to type fast to make my post appear in a higher tier in the thread. Like i said before I ain't got a problem with atheists.

Because we have no answer it must be a bored guy on a cloud? Believe in imaginary sky daddies brehs :russ:

A lot of you all are making this more spooky then it has to be. I'm not saying it's a guy in a white robe and grey bread causing the universe to expand it very possible it's just a ball of conscious dark matter.

@Demetrius you don't see how believing that there is some powerful energy in the universe that causes things to expand is totally different and unrelated to believing that there is some all knowing powerful God being that deserves to be worshipped? You're basically an atheist breh. Atheism is not believing in a deity which is what you are saying here. But I'll let you continue to Juelz Santana you're way though this awful thread.

Irrelevant... People adapted due to their circumstances....... As I stated earlier, there were thriving civilizations pre modern tech......... don't know why yall like to dismiss that fact...

And why are we omitting the ingenuity of man anyway?

It's funny you say that my homie said the same thing. I'm not religious or anti religion though. But I'm definitely spiritual in some sense.
