Japan, but from the 989
I'm not an atheist but I believe in energy. And that belief in energy has led me to believe that energy cannot be destroyed. So before the big bang there was energy and after the big bang there was energy. We have so little understanding about these things its fun to try to guess and figure out what happened. Its like asking, where were you before you were born? Did you exist? You as in your personality, your individualism, your very being. How come the micro mimics the macro...or is it the other the way around? This science teacher was telling me in college about the amazing similarities between the nucleus in your cells and way the planets orbit the sun. Its fascinating stuff.

And how all the matter in the universe got "created" and then compressed into something the size of a golf ball?

Does this scenario sound the least bit logical to our coli rocket scientists?

Oh and this thread is not about religion by the way

no can you?

So not one atheist has even attempted to answer my question in the OP.

Wish I could say that wasn't exactly what I expected :pachaha:

Instead they choose their go-to strategy, go on a rant about religion

What are you talking about? You were given an answer. Who went on a religion rant?

Mass creates gravity. Higgs Boson gives particles mass. You religious folks sure don't bother to learn much out of your dumb book.
:leostare:
You just posted two debatable things as fact... I just don't get it.

Physics has only begun to understand both of these concepts. You don't have to be facetious.

I would say that mass affects gravity, not "creates" it and you're proclaiming all this hypothetical sh1t u googled, when we have no clue what makes the spacetime curve.

fyi, religious books aren't beginners guides on quantum physics; and aren't meant to be.

Mass creates "dimples" in spacetime (its like putting a heavy object on a trampoline) which causes the effects of gravity. The higgs boson is the particle that gives other particles mass, and they've detected it (essentially). Even Humans have a gravitational pull.. we're just dominated by the earth's gravity.

Prove to me that there was a Big Bang. Im not an Atheist btw. Just because science puts forth an idea does not make it correct.

Not that you're really interested in proof, but we're working on it.

I think it's great that you've developed a sense of skepticism, but you need to aim it elsewhere.

Hilariously enough, if it was written in an some ancient book, "And then the blackness erupted with a vicious force and all creation came to be.", you would believe it w/o batting an eye.

Go figure.

I'm no expert but I thought i heard that radiation is still left over from the big bang....it surrounds us.....i think i even heard we can physically see it...it makes up about 1% of the "static" u see on a tv that isn't receiving a signal...

It's been awhile since i looked up the science tho...could be off here
