Paul Pierce's devolution to unathletic fat slob is funny to me. In College, he was seen as the super athletic swingman. His vertical is the same as Kobe's. He was also quick as fukk too. IDK what happened, but Pierce decided to stop utilizing that stuff in the aughts.

I've had this argument on the forum before, Conley's dad was an Olympic Gold Medalist in track who could have Eurostep'd from beyond midcourt to the hoop.

It's wild that folk try to downplay Conley's athleticism like that.

someone should run the numbers on how many pro athletes have parents that also competed at a high level

it seems very common these days

I don't remember the exact numbers. But years ago, I read a stat that stated a high percentage of NBA Players have at least 1 parent with elite athleticism.

Elite athleticism was defined as pro, Olympian, or certain level of college athlete (can't remember it was div 1, or something lower).

It was 70% of them having at least one Olympic qualifying or D1 parent

Pro golfers take the crown for this. Tiger has influenced more athletes to play golf and you see the advantage they have when they have the skills, but majority of the top 100 are non athletes but have crazy ball striking skills.

There is nothing athletic about golf. Its the only sport old ass white people can continue to play in their elder years

I used to watch this video as a kid called “Super Slams of the NBA” and theres one part where they show a dunk contest between athletes in different sports.

They show some from Conley Sr at the 12:47 mark. Being a triple jumper, he was obviously athletic and a great leaper.

His dunks are better than the other contestants.
