Not from ATL but wasnt he an entertainer pretty much most of his youth? Not that it matters to me nor have i EVER cared about the deluions of "street logic" rap/hood people be going by. But im just saying. He pretty much been an entertainers early on. He was actually a kid rapper coming up but didnt get in the door LIKE THAT until the late 90s/early 00s or some shyt.

Ain't no rapper really official in dem streets. It's self-contradicting. You can't be official in the streets and be rappin' about your street business at the same time. And no official street dude (e.g. E Moneybags, Calvin Klein, J Prince, Harry O) etc. is going to start rappin' when he's makin' bank in the streets. You have guys like 50 Cent or Camron or Jay Z, who have been in the streets, but not no official nikka. To be frank, very few official nikkaz, left, most of them dead or in jail, I credit the skinny jean trend to all the real g's not being in the hood anymore :to:

All his life? Nah, TI legitimately trapped. Its documented he has over 30 (yeah 30) arrests. Not saying he was some respected street boss but he's done enough to be able to rap the content that he raps.

Didn't he get convicted partially off the strength of his lyrics? :wow: You're right, I should have edited my post to say you can't be a rappin' azz official street dude and plan to be in those same streets very long :manny:

ATLANTA
His uncles put in the real work, TI from what i heard did his thing as well, not on a kingpin level but he is respected. The real warlord of ATL rap was Shawty LO he went toe for toe with him and TIP came out of it intact.

You beat me to it, Shawty Lo was official in the streets of the ATL. T.I. squashed the beef cause he knew Lo was heavily connected in the streets of the A. He was not gonna win that one at all.
