I refuse to have this conversation with anyone anymore. People are trolling by not facing the reality of what the economics of QB's are in the league.
you can be a sheep and follow what the market and media/fans want- infatuation with qbs and fallacy that qb is the most important piece. or you can be someone who thinks for themselves and does their own thing :manny:

steelers, giants, falcons not doing shyt without defense this year. people sleep on the fact that defenses win games. ok. hows your d looking with no abraham and grimes ? :pachaha:

Matt Ryan the QB is not the problem

The problem is that franchise crippling contract of his. Falcons had to overpay him by 20-30 million $. With less money for Ryan the coulda pay some Linemen or defensive players.

That's what the draft is for. Its a down year for the Falcons. Oh well. Injuries happen. If they draft well this year and get healthy they'll be fine. Quarterbacks dont win games by themselves, but you need one in place. Ryan is a guy you can restock around and expect good results again.

Perfect example idiot posting

What we think as fans has nothing to do with the reality of how this works. This entire argument is a waste of time once the contract is signed

What QB that has won as many games as Ryan didn't get paid short of injury? If Kapernick doesn't win a SB and his deal is up what will be your stance?

on other hand, chiefs D has more sacks in 2 games than falcons had in like 6 games, and chiefs are undefeated even with a weak offense that does fundamentals.

chiefs and seattle have two of three best records in football by playing sound defense. the last team of the three is led by a first ballot hof qb in peyton.

yall couldve been this team if you stuck with the ground game and sound defense. instead you wanted that air it offense :heh:

I hope yall enjoy losing :pachaha:

perfect example of someone who doesnt read posts and only reads themselves

Ive said in this VERY THREAD that if kaep wants 20 million, I would let him go in an INSTANT. its adios amigo.
I hold zero loyalty to any of my teams players (besides maybe frank gore, hes been the heart of this team for so long). if they want too much money for their value- good bye. later breh

Why would I read through this thread for your post, who gives a fucc unless you are speaking directly to me.

You "letting him" go means nothing because YOU don't own the team.

Second the better question is once Kap gets 20 million what will you do stop being a 49ers fan? Bytch about it every Sunday?

Matt Ryan isnt preventing the Falcons from drafting good players. I never understood this assumption. Teams are built via the draft...the good teams/organizations give 2nd and 3rd contracts to the guys most responsible for sustainable success. The guy who touches the ball every play is going to be that guy.

because Im tired of answering the same question over and over again. you faggits keep asking me this as if its finna be any different because its my team and my qb. you guys sound intellectually retarded.
you asked me what will my stance be ? it will be even worse because I dont give a shyt about falcons. I do give a shyt about 49ers and how they spend money. and spending 20 milly on a qb if hes not arod is unacceptable.

I wouldnt be ok with paying peyton or brady 20 milly on a long term deal at this point, much less kaep

I dont believe in qbs being the most important position on the team. and yes, every time we would lose because of holes on defense or line, I would be reminded we could have had those holes plugged with the money and groom another qb for peanuts. qbs dont win games by themselves, unless theyre HoF bound, and even then its rare.

Fool you replied to my quote, you didn't exist in this thread to me until you quoted me.

Do you want to look at the success rate of Quarterbacks drafted and those who go on to be competent starters? Teams can only play one QB. That guy's obviously going to be more valuable than a linebacker or CB if he's a good player. Out of the 32 teams in the league how many are satisfied with their QB play? I'd say less than half. So there's less than 16 QB's in the entire world right now giving satisfactory to good results. Its a numbers game.

Quarterback is the toughest position to replace. Replacing a good QB is even more difficult. Rarely do teams have the option of replacing a good QB with a better one. And obviously the drop off from a productive vet to a rookie is more prominent at that position. You can fill in a linebacker with a rookie and not be embarrassed.

Im not asking you to NOT be a fan, wtf is wrong with you. you can take a stance on the contract. some things just are, I understand yall have no control over it.
but if you defend that contract, thats where we disagree

We think differently, I don't sit there and worry about something that happens with every single QB in the same position. Its so automatic I don't see the point in the debate. I said the same thing for Stafford in Detroit, WTF else were they going to do?

guys like flacco ben rodgers and to lesser extent eli were drafted to good teams in good situations.

what would happen if flacco and ben would be drafted on this years steelers and ravens team ? would ben still have a ring in his second year ?
good teams like steelers and ravens build the team and then draft the qb.
stupid teams build team around qb praying that 'hes the one'

Literally no one is saying that. Were Flacco and Ben bad picks at the time?
