We think differently, I don't sit there and worry about something that happens with every single QB in the same position. Its so automatic I don't see the point in the debate. I said the same thing for Stafford in Detroit, WTF else were they going to do?
but you have AN answer, you just refuse to acknowledge it. cowboys, falcons, lions all had the option of getting a new qb for peanuts. they all were too scared tho

Exactly. Romo, meh- he's a lost cause imo but the other two guys you dont let walk.

The chances of drafting a bust QB is way higher than other positions- simply because the lack of them to begin with. You're not drafting multiple QB's often...other positions are just replaced way easier.

thats exactly what I mean- the draft

you are just stuck on the same stupid axiom that qb is far more important than any other position, a concept media wants you to believe so much, so the thought of building defense and lines and then drafting a cheap qb in the draft and grooming him in a friendly environment seems like blasphemy to you (even though thats exactly what packers, steelers and ravens had done)

thats ok- people believed earth was flat too :manny:

teams let go of their very good WRs, pass rushers and corners because they want too much money, every year

but god forbid they let go of their not elite but pretty good qb fro the same reason :heh:

Non-sense:

Packers drafted Discount double check to let him set behind Wrangler man. They didn't Cut Farve and then start Rodgers
Steelers had no high level QB and took Ben, same with the Ravens.

When you can come up with an example of a team that cut a young winning QB that had been to multiple playoffs before his rookie deal was up please let me know.

Can we neg people on here?

they let favre go and go with unproven rodgers, which generated lots of controversy in the time

steelers and ravens built defenses and run game first and THEN took the qbs, not the other way around. steelers and ravens did NOT build around qb
steelers were winning with their d with bum ass kordell stewart and THEN took the qb of the future

its funny because once steelers, ravens and giants started to build around qb and their d started to suck...well look at them this year :heh: theyre all a mess.

football does not revolve around qbs, but keep thinking otherwise :manny:

They let go of an old Farve don't be dense.

You can't stay on topic, how those teams were built has nothing to do with the issue/thread. That ship sailed, we are on what to do with the situation as is. Again you can't give one example of people who went a different route in a SIMILAR situation.

chargers let go of brees to draft rivers
niners took kaep in the draft and built a defense first and then brought him up to date and let alex go. but remember people were screaming for Niners to get Peyton for 20 milly ? :lolbron:
bengals sat down palmer and drafted dalton

thats even before qb monster deals
the examples are everywhere, you just cannot bring yourself to acknowledge them

what situation is that ? letting go of a good player because they want too much money ?
I consider qbs equivalent to any other position.so to me theres no difference in trading revis and trading ryan because they want too much money. actually, wait there is. revis is a better corner than ryan is a qb.

and all you fools trying to talk about market price yadda yadda
heres where you play smart and get a team to pay two-three first rounders for a romo or ryan.
because of how qbs are overvalued, you can actually get that for either oft those dudes :heh:

you get those picks, build a defense and lines also with money to pay a couple of FAs.
then you draft a qb, blueprint of ravens and steelers. overall cheaper than keeping the qb for tons of money

but of course the peasants will call for their savior qb to magically turn shyt around :heh:

People around the league felt Brees was done becaus of the injury. Last year ysej was making the argument the Saints should have let Brees walk and his contract would cripple the team.

We let go of an old favre who the following year had his best season statistic wise as a Pro and one play away from another SB appearance. His age had nothing to do with the release of him, trust me
