exactly ! I was about to write this actually man

after that game it felt like dimitroff was like, we are going to beat offense with more offense. he really thought getting this high-powered pass offense was the best thing to do and a road to the championship
It wasn't that bad of thinking if they would have had the right coach. How do you expect to be a high power offense with a conservative coach like Mike smith?

As long as the line issues are addressed in the offseason, I have no problem with the Falcons being bad this year.
Bringing in somebody who can greatly help the pass rush would be a godsend.

Easy to blame Ryan, but it's def not ALL his fault. the injuries and Dimitroff fukking up with personnel killed the Falcons.

I do agree though that only the elite of the elite deserve that 20 mill a year pay. Hopefully these GMs use their brains going forward.

He's making the big bucks now so he's going to take he majority of the blame. That's what happens when you sign those mega contracts. You don't get excuses anymore.

Tom Brady is winning with a bad oline and bums at WR this year. That's why he is elite and makes big money. You can't make 20 millions and then be on some :whoa: don't blame me type shyt

Agreed. He's getting paid to perform like ARod, Peyton, Tom, and Drew. He's expected to produce like them whether it's fair or not.

Yea. I mean, you can't put it all on Ryan but when you making 100M contracts and your squad can't sign other guys cuz your contract's in the way....well you don't really get too many excuses.

The problem with these mega deals that QBs are getting is they're going to good but not great QBs. To me Flacco, Romo (even though I like him), Ryan, etc...should not be making that kind of money. Those contracts should go to the Peytons, Rodgers and Bradys...those QBs do not need help. Ryan, Flacco, Romo need help to be successful and their contracts are preventing them from getting that help. If the 9ers give Kaep a 100M contract I'll be pissed too cuz it will severely hurt the team's ability to build the roster with other good players...and Kaep is not good enough to win games on shytty teams at this point.

And there nothing wrong because he's put borderline elite numbers going on 5 years now.

Our biggest issues are scheme and line personnel. I'm really disappointed in how unprepared these dudes look week in and week out especially on defense. There's enough talent to win and that's with the significant injuries we have but yet we've looked outmatched almost every game now.

Mike Smith already replaced one set of coordinators. I don't think there's a better coach out there but damn man, this team looks too trash in too many facets to not give him the :patrice::comeon::beli:

ATL…overly
and thats the thing, if you get paid so much, you better be able to nearly win games by yourself. hence why this type of money only elite qbs like peyton, rodgers, brees, brady should get. these are the guys who can make it happen on offense without weapons. it wont be easy and they probably wont win in playoffs, but they can take over games

matt ryan is a really good qb who still needs weapons and oline for offense to put up numbers. he isnt in that godly HoF-bound tier and most likely will never be. but if he needs weapons and oline...he isnt worth that money.

:aicmon:

As I've stated to you & others NUMEROUS times, Matt Ryan's new deal will actually pay him LESS than what he's making this year. The deal was structured that way so that he's making $12 million a year and can give the team financial flexibility. Anybody criticizing the Falcons for giving an elite level QB a market rate contract doesn't understand the economics of pro football...Niners will deal with this situation when Kaep is eligible for a contract extension, your starting QB can't play for $700 K forever

BTW, yes the Falcons are officially terrible this year. Poor coaching + terrible lines=2-5 thru 7. fukk injuries BTW, Matt is still playing so I'm not giving us a pass b/c dudes are hurt. It's the NFL, everyone gets hurt we haven't put a roster together with good depth & it's pretty obvious now. Once we get some players on the d line & o lines we should be good for next yr. But I put this season on Mike Smith & the lines

What I mean is Brady, Manning, Rodgers are superior QBs. They can still succeed with no weapons. They are the elites of the elite. Flacco is a decent QB who caught fire in the playoffs and turned that into a massive contract that crippled his team. He shouldn't be making that kind of money.
