Niners will deal with this situation when Kaep is eligible for a contract extension, your starting QB can't play for $700 K forever
and Ive told you before NUMEROUS times if kaep gets a comparable contract to ryan I will be FURIOUS
he aint worth it, at least not yet in any way. right now hes not even worth 15 milly on a long term deal.

you keep saying kaep like because we're 49er fans were supposed to be his personal fans. he was great last year, not so good this year. his value is what he makes with his play. neither ryan nor kaep deserve close to 20m

but youre too busy with making stupid hyperboles...like the one about falcons going to superbowl this year :pachaha:

oh and the contract is 63 mil in the first 3 years....thats 21 million per. I dont care how you circumvent the cap with bonuses and schmonuses, its still 21per

ATL…overly
Ryan is elite?:usure:

Look at Matt Ryan's numbers through his first 5 seasons. They are elite level QB numbers

He's not Rodgers, Brady, Peyton, Brees level I'll give you that

But he's in that next level with Flacco, Romo, Rivers QB. I don't see why y'all like to act like Matt is some Christian Ponder level QB lucky to make a roster

I didn't say he was Ponder. Ryan is good but he has 2 beastly receivers, the best TE in the game and has had a good running game for the majority of his career. Dude has been given everything to succeed and he has. But he is not elite. He has limitations IMO..still good QB but Flacco, Ryan, Romo shouldn't be making that kind of money.

Peyton makes the players around him better. He has never been handed a pro bowl player. He has always developed with the talent around him. Like Harvin Marrison, Reggie Wayne, Decker, Thomas, Garcon, Dallas Clark. Tell me the pro bowl players the colts went and signed to help Peyton.

TYRONE GA!
And there nothing wrong because he's put borderline elite numbers going on 5 years now.

Our biggest issues are scheme and line personnel. I'm really disappointed in how unprepared these dudes look week in and week out especially on defense. There's enough talent to win and that's with the significant injuries we have but yet we've looked outmatched almost every game now.

Mike Smith already replaced one set of coordinators. I don't think there's a better coach out there but damn man, this team looks too trash in too many facets to not give him the :patrice::comeon::beli:

I dunno fam. Injuries have mutilated this team, but even then, I don't know of anyone who considered him elite.

There's only 4 elite QBs playing right now: Tom, Peyton, ARod, and Breesus. That's it. No QB should be making more than those guys because they have shown that they can make bricks without straw...shyt into sugar....weed out of crabgrass, etc.

Again though, I'm not blaming Ryan, but if you paid like the elites, you gotta perform like it.

What I mean is Brady, Manning, Rodgers are superior QBs. They can still succeed with no weapons. They are the elites of the elite. Flacco is a decent QB who caught fire in the playoffs and turned that into a massive contract that crippled his team. He shouldn't be making that kind of money.
when have you ever seen Peyton play with now weapons?

What the fukk are you even trying to say?

Why does it matter that they drafted them guys instead of signing them?

Does this change the fact the hes played with great talent his whole career?

Im one of the bigger peytons critics on here (mostly in the whole playoffs vs comparable qbs debate) but to deny dudes greatness...is silly. brady played with no real weapons on offense for majority of his career. brees and payton turned bunch of scrubs and a 7th rounder WR into a ridic offense. rodgers is balling out there every year with shytty oline and mostly scrubs at WR.

who are the random receivers/TEs who became household names under Flacco or Ryan ? Tony G is HoF, Roddy was pro bowl before Ryan, Julio was one of the best WRs in college and a cant miss prospect. Boldin was a beast in AZ. Torrey may be the only one you can even make half an argument for

where are these dudes' Colstons, Stokleys, Pattens, Finleys ?

Matt Ryan signed a five-year, $103.75 million contract extension (including $59 million in guarantees) with the Atlanta Falcons when the team opened training camp on July 25. Ryan’s extension averages $20.75 million per year, which makes him the NFL’s second highest paid player (by average yearly salary) behind only Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers ($22 million).

The deal contains $59 million in guarantees. $42 million is fully guaranteed, which consists of a $28 million signing bonus, $12 million option bonus due on the fifth day of the 2014 league year (March 15) with an equivalent non-exercise fee and $2 million 2013 base salary. Ryan’s $9.5 million 2014 base salary and $7.5 million of his $11.5 million 2015 base salary are guaranteed for injury only. The $17 million of injury guarantees become fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2014 waiver period (February 5). The base salary guarantees don’t have offsets. Ryan has unguaranteed $15.75 million, $15.75 million and $19.25 million base salaries in his 2016, 2017 and 2018 contract years.

Ryan’s cap numbers don’t become too excessive, particularly for a contract of its size. His 2013 cap number goes from $12 million to $9.6 million, a $2.4 million decrease, in the new contract. The additional $2.4 million in cap space gives the Falcons $7.68 million of cap room. Ryan’s 2014 and 2015 cap numbers at $17.5 million and $19.5 million should be manageable. His cap number peaks in 2016 and 2017 at $23.75 million and drops to $21.65 million in the final year of the deal because the $5.6 million of proration from his signing bonus stops after the 2017 contract year. The Falcons have built some cap flexibility into Ryan’s contract because they can create cap room at any time during the deal with their discretionary right to convert a portion of his base salary into signing bonus.

You don't care b/c you're wrong and you're too ignorant to acknowledge the fact that

1.) QBs will ALWAYS get paid in a passing league
2.) The Falcons worked out a deal with Matt Ryan that actually won't cripple our salary cap yr after yr so for you idiots who keep pointing at his contract as some albatross that will prevent us from being competitive, try again.

And how was it hyperbole to suggest that a Falcons team that was 10 yards from the Super Bowl wouldn't make a run this yr? :aicmon:Ol hindsight is 20/20 ass nikka :camby:

I was agreeing with you in that sense. A contract like that is gonna come with heat if the team doesn't perform and there's nothing wrong with that. I just think the issues of this team go a lot further than our QB.
