I think the Falcons are very appealing to a good coach.
If I were Blank, I would back up a truck to Mike Holmgren and say....you got Matt Ryan to Julio Jones with some WR compliments. We'll draft whoever you want.
The Falcons have the 8th pick. Too high for a Running Back...they might go defense 1st round, then 2nd round will be interesting. A running back like TJ Yeldon or Melvin Gordon might be there. Not sure what Gurley's injury would do to his stock. I personally would draft a 6 foot or taller, 210 or plus RB over the 5 foot 9 group like Duke Johnson or Abullah. Even so, there will be a lot of good running backs floating around the draft, so they might also wait later.
But if you could model the Cowboys and get a good OLINE and a really good RB like Gurley/Yeldon/Gordon etc to play the D. Murray role....
I know Holmgren is 66 years old, but I think with Ryan and those WRS he could get it going quick, put in a 5 year window with Ryan/Jones and maybe add a stud RB to the mix in the draft and retire at 71.
If he doesn't do it, I think it is a crap shoot. Honestly rolling the dice on McDaniel is just as much a lottery ticket as a lot of guys. There aren't many slam dunks available.
