I get what they saying and it’s true, i tell people all the time, don’t come to atl and you ain’t got the first job lined up, and no most jobs in atl will not sustain you to live in the city. But it’s a lot of people that come to atl with a degree or (s) and experience, yet can’t find a job, the issue is over saturation of the job market, if a job open up and 300 people apply and 150 of them are qualified to over qualified then how do they get a leg up ?? How do they earn income, they work an entry level to service industry job just to survive. You got so many degreed up people working at stores etc just to make ends meet, until they hopefully can get on

btw the Erica classy climb chick i remember when she first started, she doing big shyt now

People move here and don't see the suffering going on. There's a lot of people having multiple roomates in buckhead, don't anyone fool you.

Don't come here w/ no plan, don't come here w/ a plan that ain't subject to change either.

Most people that I know that move here from other states are poor. They lie and tell their family back home that they are doing well but the bank account always tells the ugly truth.
I know a lot who this is true about. Atlanta has a huge wealth disparity if you’re not moving there to work a specific field, you will catch hell trying to get an apartment. It’s a lot of jobs in the service

If you trying to move to that area I would recommend an up and coming city that is rapidly expanding like Huntsville. They ain’t lying when they say Atlanta is full. And it’s only getting worse because besides blacks, a bunch of other minorities are moving there in droves and changing the demographics of the region. The south Asians in north Atl and Alpharetta are like the Cubans of Miami.

"If you an unskilled person in the small town you came from, you will still be an unskilled person in Atlanta"

:dead::dead::dead:

I haven't listened but plenty of people I went to school with moved to Atlanta either for school or after graduating college.

They all swore they was never coming back and out of no bullshyt at least 30 people I can think of off top of my head, only a handful is still there and thriving.

The rest are back home and humbled.

my uncle moved out there in the early 90s with no real skills. he worked retail and loved it while he was young. years later his longtime girlfriend brought him back to arizona broke and with parkinsons (she just dropped him off and went back home to ATL). that part about the skills is very important. you are better off staying around family if you are going to be the working poor than to be thousands of miles away around people who dont love you that much.
