its sad. They’re always posted up at my 75/85 exit. Ill give them a 20 every now and then. Me and one of the neighbors were trying to see if we could set up some sort of after school program for them but they said they can make $60 a day each.

As a middle or high schooler, that ain’t bad for a few hours harassing people in cars. Id probably tell the after school programs to kick rocks too

Atlanta is only the black Mecca because it’s the most transient city for blacks and it ran hip hop for a while.

Yep. For most black peoples and for obvious reasons, making it meant moving out to the burbs. It’s like how NYC rappers moved out to Jersey and Long Island.

moving back next month. I’ll be walking distance from my old HS and where I grew up. I’ll rent for a year and then try to find a condo in the neighborhood. Rich young cacs have driven the price of a home to 700k. When my fam moved to Clayco I’m the 90s, they were giving away these houses.

It’s very important that I buy something in my childhood neighborhood. My bro and sis are on the same wave. They recently bought their homes on the Westside which fortunately is not as gentrified as the Eastside.

It’s not super white, it’s diverse, but whites do have a majority and it’s a big tax base of Atlanta proper. Losing that tax base will mean less money to spend on services for the other parts of the city that need it.

With their own city they can pass ordinances, rezone neighborhoods and enforce laws that benefit them.

This would be the biggest selling point for some affluent black neighborhoods to secede.
