My church is full of black professionals. We run a home/halfway house for brothers being released from prison and do job training and counseling until they get on their feet. We're hosting street fairs throughout the summer giving kids free haircuts, school supplies, winter coats, etc. Fighting against police misconduct. But dumb people claim its the church that's somehow holding black people back as if black Christians haven't been on the front lines fighting for the rights of black people since we been here. People are people. There are shady folks in church and shady folks everywhere else. Not that its right but its real.

You can not even tell these modern Christians that they are the very Romans that the Bible discusses (Roman Catholics and the people that protest the Roman Catholics (Protestants)).

The Bible goes on and on discussing how terrible the Romans were. The Romans were sexual perverts (homosexuals, incestuous, pedophiles, into sex with beasts), thieves, liars, murders and oppressors of Christians (throwing Christians to lions; setting Christians on fire, torturing and murdering Christians by putting them on Crosses, etc). Roman priests still rape little boys to this very day, which is in line with what happened among the Romans.

The other Christian sects (protesting Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, etc.,) learned their trade from the Romans; they only protested some of the things that the Pope and the Romans did rather than repudiating it all. Guess who taught the African slaves religion?

The people that did that then and are doing that now are Christians. They do not actually believe in God or the Commandments, but they are Christians. Christians killed off all of the Native people in the Americas. They called those Natives savages, yet in their Christian hypocrisy they admit that the Native Americans fed them and help them (the Christians) survive their first years in the Americas. We even celebrate Thanksgiving, which is the period when the supposed savages helped the Christians. What the Christians would later do to the supposed savages was really savage.
