Yeah, its true for me. I'm in Northern California and white women have been more attracted to me (at least showing they do) than black women. I grew up in a mostly white community of a very diverse city. When I was younger, I had a lot of white girlfriends not because I was attracted to them more, but because I could be myself around them. I'm more of the Donald Glover type and I got all of the "act white, proper" bullshyt because of it from my fellow race
I've dated a lot of other different races but I always thought more of "why not?" with black women until my late 20s when those same black women stopped caring of what everyone else thought and began to follow their heart for a change when dating.
Then again, its all about location. I didn't have a problem with black women approaching me when I visited Texas a few years back
