It most certainly matters from my own personal experience because for a while I wasn't giving much of a fukk I was in a relationship and wasn't nobody checkin for me but then I got out of the relationship and started dressing better, makin sure my cut legit,clothes legit, and a lot more women started flirting and wanting to get to know me and eventually smash

Women are more likely to go with the more dependable partner better suited to sustain a life with rather than the guy who's cute but has no real assets and no real goals or ambitions besides his dreams that don't seem to be panning out. Why would a woman want to be with a man who struggles or could possibly struggle in the future with feeding children and providing a roof over their heads? I think you're neglecting the fact that the main thing women look for from a spouse is security. And that goes hand and hand with who he knows how well he can play politics is he able to find work or work with others to start up a successful business venture if needed. Good looking dudes may be able to pick up a girl at a bar but if he's broke he won't be keeping her if she's top very attractive.
