Humans have struggled all thru out human history and brought generations of families into this world. You don't see poor women running off from their husband to have kids with some rich dude

Of course not but then again that would be dumb. Those women with the less fortunate men know their options and I seriously doubt those financially secure men would be eager to have procreate with those women. Still common sense should tell you if given the option women would rather have a financially stable partner who's able to provide for his family meaning not just her but her children.

No, I'm saying to women their choice in a life partner has more to do with his ability to provide a conferrable and secure lifestyle rather than his looks. If you get the best of both worlds good for you but if you're just a good looking dude with no money or some level of social inclination to make things happen and she has an option of being with a dude who does have the later mentioned and may not be as attractive as you, the chances of her choosing the other guy are great, not saying it's set in stone of course.
