I also think some people are underestimating how much athleticism factors into the NBA.

Anthony Richardson is 6'5 250 lbs barefoot, 41" vertical at the combine, 4.39 40. 27 reps on the bench press.

Plays maybe the most difficult, high-processing position in sports.

Sure, the dude is not Curry but you are absolutely crazy to think he'd have no chance in the NBA in some type of role.

Some of these NBA players can't even shoot, in the most shootingest era the league has ever seen but are there simply because they're good athletes who get hustle baskets, act as lob threats and play defense which is absolutely critical utility for playing winning basketball.
Mugsy was known for his crazy hops with a 44 inch vert, and you look at NFL and many DBs have that kind of vert. I mean Mugsy was 5'3 and played in the NBA. How many 5'3 brehs in the NFL past 1950 ? :troll:

man....Randy Moss was 6'4 with a 47 vert and ran a 4.2 :picard: athletic specimen who also played bball

Remember, multiple NFL players have turned down MLB baseball and other sports. They could've pulled in major money playing another sport with less wear and tear than even basketball.

Many additionally were all-state soccer players who turned down the sport .

Kyler Murray was a top 10 MLB draft pick by the Oakland A's and still chose the NFL at 5'9. Dude would've got paid paid playing baseball.

Maybe...

...just maybe...

...playing football does more for them on a satisfaction level and are choosing to play football instead.

It ain't about money like many people think. Some players may enjoy one sport more than the other, some are doing it to prove something to themselves, etc.

Nah, money was a significant factor for Kyler. The arbitration system in baseball is a joke and doesn't allow relevant players to hit free agency until they're 28/29/30 etc. The early extensions to buy out arb years like Acuna and Julio signed are the exception and even they left a lot of money on the table securing what they could (which is why Soto turned down that kind of offer from Washington)

Between his rookie deal and first extension Kyler's already secured $200m guaranteed, the most a top 10 pick from his MLB draft class has gotten is Alec Bohm with $11m so far and he won't be a free agent until 2027 at age 28.

Yes it is

No league is harder to make than the NBA
You have to be the best of the best unless your name is thanasis

a guy who hit like 40 dingers in minor leagues is getting a shot at mlb, in the nba you can tear it up in the g league like mac mclung and still not sniff one nba game this year
This is purely a numbers thing though like I said
NBA gonna have a bunch of raw 19 and 20 year olds get drafted and get straight into rosters this year
MLB you got dudes in the minors for 4-5 years before they even see the majors

shyt Anthony Edwards is 6'4 225.

Anthony Richardson is 6'5 barefoot 250 lbs and a much stronger and explosive athlete:
4.3 speed
42" vertical
405 bench press

If NBA players are scared of an Anthony Edwards B-Line :wow:

I'm not even saying this guy would be a #1 pick like Ant, but NBA fans are crazy to think an NBA scout and GM wouldn't pull the trigger at an athlete like this.

That guy immediately strikes fear on an NBA team's front court the second they check in. Especially knowing that's actually a QB so his mental processing is already something else and can at least make read the court and make good BBIQ decisions quickly.

Grown men dominate sports and there are a lot of NBA players who are scared af of aggressive, dominant athletes.

Theirs some random MLB scrub that washes Rivers out money wise. Money different in every sport. Jones not struggling to feed his family. Jones peak as an nfl player exceeded Rivers. Rivers stuck around but considering his high school hype and draft position he was a disappointment.
No it’s not lol

baseball pay scale is terrible. Scrubs don’t get paid in mlb

:russ:

Draymond is one of their scrappier ones and this is against college cats. They need to stop pretending like Antonio Gates was the rule. He was the anomaly and that experiment hasn't been replicated since then. You don't see wrestlers saying they could all play football because Stephen Neal did it.

Yeah idk what that guy's talking about
It's actually really damn hard to get paid in MLB you generally gotta be good for a long time
It's why multi-sport athletes will never choose baseball :russ:
Even ARod & Jeter have both spoken on this, it takes way too fukking long to get to the money in the majors, it puts young athletes off

NFL players would play in the NBA if they had the skill

CB are probably the most gifted athletically of any position of sports

Mahomes/Russ were 1st round draft pics in baseball

Qb/cb are as talented as majority of NBA players

Ohtani/bonds are as talented as any player in sports history

Lebron may be the best athlete of all time with top 5 talent all time

I'm not a bron stan at all but the special top 5/10 in sports history all had supreme HAND EYE coordination that transfers to football/baseball/basketball .

The game is in slow motion for them you can't learn/or teach that. Think neo matrix

Some of y’all forgetting how much skill nba requires

NBArejects who was great in highschool and college would have a nice shot at the nfl if they tried. All you gotta be is big and a freak athlete for most positions

Maybe I could’ve made the nfl if I chose that sport:ehh:
