Once again this is your reality. I'm not saying it is false.

I am just telling you that as sure as you are that Australia has always been at this location is how sure I am it hasn't.

The Australia from my reality was located thousands of miles to the south of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. It was surrounded by thousands of miles of open ocean. The only significant landmasses within a thousand miles were New Zealand to the northeast and Tasmania to the south.

This Australia that is located less than 100 miles from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia is FOREIGN to my consciousness. This new Australia that is north of New Zealand is FOREIGN to me.

I don't know this Australia. The reality I experienced in the past was completely different in this regard.

I just asked 3 of my family members about where they remember Australia being located and 2 of the 3 remember Australia exactly lile I do. They both said Australia was located by itself near the bottom of the world surrounded by thousands of miles of open ocean. They were freaked out to learn that Australia is now apparently located about 90 miles from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

They are as freaked out about the changes as I am. Both are super religious so they are now claiming this is evidence of the apococalypse. Positions I disagree with.

The others being the simulation theory (aka we're in a computer simulation like the Matrix) or parallel universes exist and we shifted from one to another.

For the one millionth time the issue here isn't map projections.

Even in all those different maps you posted, the location of Australia is different from the one I've known my entire life.

For nearly my entire life Australia was positioned by itself at the bottom of the world surrounded by thousands of miles of water. It was called the land down under for that reason. And because of it's isolation from the rest of the globe it had animals like Kangaroos and Platypuses that weren't found anywhere else on earth.

Now in this reality Australia is right there less than 100 miles from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

That shyt makes no sense to me. Its completely foreign. Its a reality I don't remember. In the world I remember Australia was surrounded by thousands of miles of open ocean in all directions with only New Zealand and Tasmania nearby. And in that reality New Zealand was to the northeast of Australia not to it's southeast.

no offense but are you sure you were paying attention when you studied geography in school? maybe you just remember wrong i.e. you heard"the land down under" and envisioned it being isolated. it's possible that you blocked out any other reality of australia to fit your schema of how it should exist
