Good idea. I just don't know if its as simple as the factors you raised. I've seen people of all ages, races, and genders post videos online sharing similar memories of a reality that now doesn't exist.

There is probably a link but it might be more subtle. Maybe we are linked by a similar spiritual energy? I don't know I'm just saying shyt.

no offense but are you sure you were paying attention when you studied geography in school? maybe you just remember wrong i.e. you heard"the land down under" and envisioned it being isolated. it's possible that you blocked out any other reality of australia to fit your schema of how it should exist

No. I was a good student at school. And most of my memories of Australia are independent of what I learned at school. I independently studied the subject primarily because I was interested in human evolution. And in the reality I come from the story of how ancient humans crossed thousands of miles of open ocean to reach Australia 40-60,000 years ago was a huge mystery. This mystery interested me so I read lots of books and watched tons of documentaries on it.

I think I would have noticed all that time if Australia was just 90 miles from Papau New Guinea. There really wouldn't be much of a mystery.

I'm as sure of this as my name.

The Australia in maps in this reality is way too north. It should not be north of New Zealand. And it should not be right next to Papau New Guinea.

Anyone else remember this map?

The logical explanation here is definitely that the fabric of time and space has ripped and we've entered an alternate timeline where Australia is farther north and movie scripts have been altered. Definitely a more sound explanation than the maps being inaccurate.
