@Melbournelad and any other Australian brehs around? I am contemplating relocating there long term for work until I can get situated in Singapore or HK down the road. I would probably be working there 4-5 years. Employment will be the easy part, it's the culture I need advice on and daily living etc

What is life like there for a Black man on the daily? I will overcome my (justified) precautions of pythons and brown recluse spiders and embrace nature. Trying to move closer to my Woman's family in Asia.

No time zone difference = No jet lag on annual visit to see her fam less jet lag on visits back home too since we are going east and not west

If you're moving to Australia make sure it's Sydney or Melbourne, they're more international, liberal, multicultural, vibrant etc, relative to the other cities

Ill be real. If you live in New york now, Australia will seem like a quite country town. Everything is slow paced and the cities arent as exciting or fast paced as New york or any other major city. Theres good paying jobs, but dont expect Australia to be a cliche. Its just another toronto down under. Its a nanny state too. Im thinking of moving to hong kong or Dubai after uni for that reason. Its great place if your interested in extreme sports or if you want to live comfortably, but it doesnt have a wild side like America or Asia. The cities and social atmosphere is too tamed. Its still a great country but dont fall for the hype

Lol...King cross is just a bunch of nightclubs that Bikie gangs such as the Comeros and various Lebo gangs meet up to fukk prostitutes and throw money at strippers. Theres nothing wild about that, its just seedy. Ive been there, its been demonised by the media, when its not even a dangerous place. Sydney is alot better than melbourne when it comes to social atmosphere since its an internatiinal city but nothing can compare to the top 10 American or European cities. Melbournes culture is just stale and a replica of other mid tier cities in Europe.

are we talking the CBD and inner city as well or just Melbourne suburbs?

nightlife is expensive, but you can catch people from every ethnicity out here

Singapore wants to be Hong Kong.. but they never will be.
Australia has its own uniqueness, so it's about what you wanna check out.
But Hong Kong is piff breh. Just don't get scammed by locals lol. It's not as bad as other Asian countries though.
However, some dumbass swiss dude got scammed by a taxi driver HEAVY. dude should've paid around 40 usd for his taxi ride but he got FLEEEEEEECED for 1,000

quick spots to check out:
mong kok, at any time of day. night time is madness. a good place to cop cheap shyt
temple street is another good way to cop a tonne of shyt for cheap
spend a little time browsing the goldfish market. all kinds of dope shyt
central is like the manhattan of hong kong.
for beaches, hit up sai kung/clearwater bay
try the street food. you might shyt yourself inside out but it'll be a delicious process
try the bubble tea. ask em for milk tea with the black round sago things
cop a box of the red barbeque pork. and then the barbequed pork with the crispy skin
tsim tsa tsui (chung king mansions has indian, pakistani, nepalese and african (cameroon, ghana, nigeria, etc) food in case you're looking for that)
lan kwai fong is the spot if you wanna get faded and holla at hoes
paags everywhere like needles in a crackhouse
ocean park is a dope amusement park

hoes in sham shui po and wanchai
don't stay in the cheap dingy ass hotels
our snack game is immaculate


if you leave hong kong without trying the barbequed meats or dim sum you're a fuccboi
