Yeah but the first movie was mainly a novelty hit because of the visuals/effects. The 3D visuals at the time.

I didn't expect it to "flop" but I definitely didn't expect it to make over 2 billy.

I think it was more than a novelty hit but that is my opinion. He created an interesting world.

It had a wide global release and that’s without China being in movie theaters right now from their Covid lockdowns.

Avatar 2 was released in China even with the COVID lockdown, which is how it was able to hit the $2 billion mark. No Way Home would have hit the $2 billion mark as well as if Marvel films weren't banned China for the time being.
