hate this word, but we're being "gaslit" into thinking we care about most of these characters. we don't even need Patrick Stewart anymore, they gave him a great sendoff in Logan, then ran over his corpse in shytty Multiverse of Madness. We just got a whole movie of Wolverine, but everyone likes Hugh, so basically only him and maybe Ian McKellan are worth giving a fukk about. fukk Kelsey Grammer Beast, don't care about Alan Cumming Nightcrawler b/c he had one of the 5 good scenes in the X franchise, none of the women from the original XMen were even good...

and what's their plan with Gambit? dude was literally a joke character. are they just gonna have him play it straight now? imagiine that bumbling idiot stepping into a critical scene in Doomsday? i imagine the tone is gonna be a lot different from Deadpool, which is probably why his played out ass hasn't been announced.

Gen Z don't give a damn about these movies.

MCU is making money off Gen X and millennials.

This is why I doubt the whole "Secret Wars will reset everything" because Gen Z aren't suddenly going to be interested and a reset could easily turn off Gen X/Millennials who have not abandoned the mcu post endgame.

They only got one more movie left to build up Dr Doom and that's fantastic four :francis:

they have 2 major avengers films + spidey in the middle + 1 unamed movie in the middle + 1 possible extra movie (possibly another avengers. possibly doc strange)

"November 6, 2026: Untitled Marvel Studios Film"

‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Is Set To Be Divided Into Two Parts According to Reports"

also:

thanos' screen time before IW was around 10 - 15 mins and he had a totally different manner in IW. he was also underdeveloped with IW largely being his film.

in the main the main set up in phases 1 - 3 was for the infinity stones .. and who says that this will not involve the infinity stones or the power from characters that we know from earlier films - sentry, galactus, surfer (fox) .. doom is gonna have to get his uber power levels from somewhere.

Gen Z grew up with the MCU, so this isn't true.

The other stuff you said comes down to the MCU making good movies on a consistent basis again.

Data from The Marvels' opening weekend showed that viewers in the 18-24 demographic only made up 19% of the audience. This was a sharp decline from Captain Marvel, which had 40% of its viewership in that age range

Gen Z are NOT interested.

The MCU pre endgame never had to make good movies to make hits or to be successful.

RDJ and The Fox-Men are here to get back the millennials and Gen X who checked out of the MCU post endgame.

That data doesn't back up what you're saying lol.

According to most sources (though I personally disagree), Gen Z are people born from 1997-2012. So that's people who are currently 12-28 years old. That's a good chunk of the audience for MCU movies.

It literally shows you that the audience share for the majority of Gen Z is 20% or less:mjlol:

How the hell is 3 out of 10 a "good chunk?" :mjlol:

Gen X and Millenials are showing up NOT Gen Z.

Considering that a good chunk of Gen Z are teenagers AND fewer people are attending movie theaters these days (especially younger people). 30-40% of the MCU moviegoing audience being Gen Z is actually remarkable.

There's really no reason to give a "send off" to the Fox X-Men other than for nostalgia purposes (AND that Feige worked on them).

Doomsday/Secret Wars could've been the chance to introduce the MCU X-Men instead... but I digress :hubie:
I think They’re just killing 2 birds with 1 stone. It’s more to it than just giving Fox another farewell

1. You need multiple realities to clash with for the incursions that end up dying, might as well use the ones we already know exist now that there’s no studio politics besides Sony. It ain’t just Fox X Men… Andrew and Tobey, Snipes, etc all can get a send off at the same time

2. You got a point bout the nostalgia part but why pass up the last chance to put on film what we were robbed of in the early to late 2000s due to the different studios owning the IP? If they put Hugh and Tobey on screen together in Secret Wars, ima go crazy rather than dissect why they did it.. and this is pretty much the only story where all of this makes sense to do whatever you want

I honestly think it’d be a mistake to introduce the MCU X Men in these films. So far there’s 2 ppl with the mutant gene on Earth 616. For other characters to come outta nowhere with Likely 0 experience would make no sense for this story. They already have to make the Kang to Doom concept make sense

It’s best to end Secret Wars with slightly reset Earth 616 that combines aspects of whatever we see in Doomsday with maybe 1 person remembering the old one

The Avengers will need a few more months to assemble. Disney has delayed the release of Marvel Studios‘ upcoming team-up features “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.”

“Doomsday” is now set to debut on Dec. 18, 2026, moving about seven months off of its originally slated date of May 1, 2026. To match, the follow-up “Avengers: Secret Wars” is moving its release to Dec. 17, 2027, after previously being set for May 7, 2027.

Not surprised that they delayed it. There was no way it was coming out in May 2026. Releasing them during Christmas time is odd, though.

Also, this almost certainly pushes back an MCU X-Men film even further. That sucks so much.
