I think it will be out next month and will be attached to the Mando movieI’m sure the trailer will hit with brand new day. They might do that thing they did during one of the phase 1 movies where the trailer is the end credits “scene”.

I'm still actively rooting for this to fail.

Ruthless AF
I'm still actively rooting for this to fail. Of course since it's got some of the favorite white boys back failure is not an option and I'm sure it will be graded on a curve. I find it hard to believe the piss poor writing and storytelling that plagued nearly all of the post Endgame projects will magically be absent from this one.

That was only one version of Kang.
As for the movie itself, the main story arc was about Scott Lang and Cassie.
The problem with that is the added a bunch of subplots that were more interesting that were never fully explored.
nope. Iger reversed chapek's decisions on day 1. he sacked chapek's right hand man on day 1.
yes day one of work.

'Extremely awkward': Bob Chapek and Bob Iger had a falling out, they rarely talk — and the rift looms over Disney's future

"Bob Iger moves fast to dismantle Chapek’s reorganization of Disney"
you know how long it takes to make a film. do i even need to ask?
the films out in 2023 started in 2021 at the latest ... i.e. BEFORE iger came back.
iger has been back 1 year only.

not sure why this is taking so long to sink in.

i think you don't know how the future works.
no iger could not known everything that chapek would do and neither can he be held responsible for it.
he might know broad strategy but CEO's are there to make their own decisions.
it's empirical activity which means that despite broad agreement on strategy you can still mess up on implementation.
like in chapek's case putting a numbers and tech guy (daniels) in charge of creatives.
the person who made those decisions is the person who got fired - chapek.
i have worked for deutsche bank, citibank, credit suisse .. and that is the way big blue chips operate.
you let management incl CEO manage (even if they report to you). and as a result they take the blame when it goes wrong.
the quality has gone up since the creatives have been back in full control and slowed down production.

“A Lot of Fixing”: Bob Iger Opens Up About the Chapek Era “Mess” and His Master Plan for Disney’s Next Successor
When Iger returned to the helm in November 2022, the “House of Mouse” was in disarray. Stock prices were tumbling, creative morale was at an all-time low, and the company was bleeding billions in its quest for streaming dominance. Now, as Iger prepares for what he insists will be his final departure, he is detailing the cleanup process—and how he plans to ensure his next successor doesn’t repeat the mistakes of the past.
The “Mess” That Nearly Broke the Magic
The core of Iger’s critique centers on the structural changes Chapek implemented during his short but impactful reign. The most controversial was the creation of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution (DMED). This centralized unit stripped creative heads—the people running Disney Animation, Marvel, and Lucasfilm—of the power to decide how and where their content was released.
- Restoring Creative Control: One of Iger’s first acts was to dissolve DMED and return authority to the creative leads. He empowered leaders like Alan Bergman and Dana Walden to take ownership of their projects once again, arguing that “quality” must always trump “quantity.”
