Do you realize how stupid dipsticks are in this day and age? :wtf:

Are you gonna comparing about not having tape decks next? :mjlol:

Lol your comparing tape decks to being able to take basic car care of popping a hood and looking at a stick.

I've had bmws in the past. I liked them, but they're expensive to maintain. Basic maintenance costs more, parts like tires cost more, etc. For me I decided to let them go. Maybe I'll buy one when my net worth is over a million but for now I'm good. But if you can afford one more power to you. But for now I'm not buying something I don't need. And definitely never having a car payment. Instead of a potential 200-500 payment (average car payment in us is almost 500 a month) on a forever depreciating expense I'd rather save it and invest. But that's me.

I love technology, but not when it gets in the way of the basics. Checking oil with a stick is so outdated huh, I wonder how we survived all those decades suffering by looking at a stick, or checking tire pressure, doing basic car care that an adult imo should know, especially now with things like YouTube that basically make you a entry level mechanic.

I loved it,specially cuz you didn't see many Of those coupes, even in LA,always just the 4 doors, had mine completely blacked out, limo tint all around, even windshield, blacked out emblems, and had M3 rims from like an 08 on their, replaced all my inner lights with blue led's,JL audio everything, custom exhaust, then some dumb bytch had to total it by texting and driving and rear ending me :francis:

Always wanted a manual 330ci... Could only afford the 325i at the time. Then once I started making money, jumped to the M3 which was dope but not really as well balanced as the 330 imo.

Got a 335i now but it's an auto... :francis:

LMFAO. that's a whole generation + mid cycle facelift/refresh for most car models. Cats taking 6-7 years to pay off a piece of shyt car with outdated tech that will always need some kinda investment to keep it running. Plus gas :russ:

Better off leasing

The car industry has damn near evolved (in some instances) like the tech industry and 5 years is an eternity.

Exactly. I'm looking for a new car now. Looking for an $8,000 car under 100,000 miles. Why the fukk would I spend 7 years to pay for a car, when it most likely would be 15 years old when you finally pay it off? :mjlol:

You're definitely out of touch if you think there aren't good cars for 2k-4K

I have an 88 accord that I bought for 2k in 2000....... shyt still clean, runs great... and in 16 years I've only had to put a clutch in it.... The right 3000 dollar car can allow you to stack bread for years... easily.....

Lmao @ idiots out here making 50k a year buying 45k cars. So many dummies like that at my job and they wonder why they only have $34 left from their paycheck on the 1st.
I buy used Fords outright. No leasing. No car notes. No complications.

Nobody is ever impressed by my vehicles, but...nobody ever steals them either.

This.

in that 6-7 years you can get two $8,000 cars that run great and you can still get something out of them when you sell them off

Word. One girl I know spent $23,000 on a car. And she wants to trade it in for a $27,000 car cause it has a back up sensor :snoop:

Yup that's the point. Make yourself wealthier. Keep it simple.

88 accord, nice. I got a 95 civic I use daily. Pulling into gas station less than 20 to fill up last me almost two weeks:blessed: property taxes like 24 a year lol.

Every time I read about people and car loans I think about my retirement accounts. Two favorite words: compounding interest. I'm telling everyone a Roth IRA is a goat thing. Like a super savings account. Everyone should know and get in so they'll be financially better off. We can make the world a better place easily when you have more financial freedom.

I feel ya.... I've bought all my cars outright and got a yard full of cars from 1980 to 2015.......

I financed the 2015 vehicle... :snoop: trying to make my credit look appealing for a big loan........ Its been 2 years since I've did that and now I realize that I didn't have to go that route....

At least you learned. Most people don't.

Having good credit is cool and all but honestly it's not necessary to have basically anything over 750. Even 720 I'd say. Trust me if you go get a house or something and you got a big down payment at least you'll be good. Keep that income to debt ratio low as possible and they'll be lenders there, even if u do manual underwriting.
