I was about to say why don’t these programmers live in the cheapest states if all states are guaranteed 6 figures but now I see why. They can afford to live anywhere and probably are living in cities that they actually like and don’t care about what they could get in those empty states.


Also I’m curious to know how many job opening by state which will also correlate to what locations they choose

i doubt that picture is correct.
No way an average python developer is getting paid that much in low cost areas.

The average python developer in Kentucky aint getting paid more than the average developer in NY :deadmanny:
It's not correct. These #'s are probably inflated by 20-30k. And if someone is starting off as a junior python dev it's going to be lower ~70k.

Basic/intermediate Java from my college years taught me object oriented programming. I never got a chance to learn python but it seems a even more efficient version of Java without the headaches Java gives you.
Yeah if you know Java and OOP then python is going to be a piece of cake for you. It's not as verbose as Java.
