How hard was it to learn? I just bought a book from Amazon how to automate the boring stuff..a python book. I’ve never been in tech or anything just wanted to make career switch
Easier language to learn imo

Python is GOAT, don't know what the hell you talking about.

Never wanted to code and never had too, but since they do not want to hire people we are being pushed to do so I am learning. So far I do not have to code but I know soon I will.

I’d recommend anybody looking to get into programming and not spending money to take CS50 for free on EdX. Its challenging towards the end but it gives you a better foundation than trying to learn on python directly which hides a lot of the fundamentals. Companies are going to drill you on the fundamentals. Knowing a particular language or two is only a small piece of what you get tested on. Python is one of the languages you learn in CS50.

You gotta really like this shyt though, don’t just get into it because you see a price tag. At least personally, I’m big on ideas and dabbled in coding here and there and could never stick with it cause it genuinely isn’t that interesting to me. In a perfect world I’d have a bag an pay somebody else to handle that.

Wonder why more people aren’t trying to learn it. Make good money after 6 months - 2 yrs (or however long it takes you)

If your not a dev or in IT why would you want to learn python? Its going to take more than two years to get a dev job with no experience. Best option is to go to a bootcamp or get a CS degree if you want to be a developer.
