In thirdborn there’s some people singing on a dock off the cliff in the back. Is there any way to get down there?
The default setting for this game should NOT be graphics mode. I almost uninstalled this shyt, I cannot take anything less than 60 fps in the year of our Lord 2025. It's the most poverty gaming shyt I can think of at this point, absolutely unbearable.
Switched it to performance mode and I'm having a blastthis should do well to hold me over until Bussyesda drops the next elder scrolls
The game keeps getting better. I really hope they stick the landing on the story.
wow. these are all the issues i have with starfieldJust finished it, the combat is straight firehope Bethesda is taking notes, Obsidian like usual showing them how its done.
Some people will disagree but I loved the fact that it was kind of an RPG lite, simple skills tree, simple combat, no lockpick minigame BS, the inventory weight limit was kind of there just to be there but since you can send shyt to the locker it was pretty irrelevant.
Coming off like 150 hours of Persona 5 this hit the spot.
Hopefully it did well enough for a sequel.
It’s WRPG distilled down to all the fun parts. You are constantly and consistently having fun in this game.wow. these are all the issues i have with starfield
half my playtime was fukking with weight limit issues
I agree with everything else, Avowed is fun as hell but nah Oblivion gonna still hit. 15 year old BBG leveling up his enchanting (or whatever it was called) to finally be able to make a full set of invisible armour wasIt’s WRPG distilled down to all the fun parts. It’s fast to start, even down to the opening splash screens being instantly skipable.
no weapon degradation. Crafting is simple and manageable. Respec is cheap and easy and infinite so you can try whatever kinda build you want at any time. Inventory management is easy and intuitive. Sprint doesn’t cost stamina so you don’t have to do the stupid run walk game to get places.
If you felt bogged down by the complexity of all the systems and simulations in starfield, load screens, stamina, weight limits etc, Avowed is the perfect breath of fresh air.
I’m honestly kinda worried it will be hard to go back and play the oblivion remaster after avowed. Hope they spent lots of time on quality of life and streamlining stuff or it will just feel old and outdated. Avowed has set the standard for WRPG gameplay imo![]()

it was like I hit Oblivion with a game shark but nope, it was perfectly legal and had me feeling like God. nikkas literally never knew what hit em lmao. I was so pissed they took that out of the game for Skyrim. I can't fukking wait for Oblivion remaster.
Yep, I feel like in most games the weight management BS is there just for tradition but it doesn't actually affect the gameplay its just an inconvenience.wow. these are all the issues i have with starfield

The problem with Bethesda is their more is better philosophy and also some resistance to actually modernize their systems, thats what made starfield feel so fukking dated, it felt like a 2007 game with moder graphics.I’m just thinking about the level design and combat.
Old bethesda games were very flat and empty with lots of repetitive dungeons and the combat was kinda bad.
We used to just accept those things as being part of the experince, but now avowed has shown you can have really good gameplay and level design in a first person WRPG.
I like the simulation stuff, and really nobody does it like bethesda. The problem with Bethesda is their more is better philosophy and also some resistance to actually modernize their systems, thats what made starfield feel so fukking dated, it felt like a 2007 game with moder graphics.
For me its not the simulation, as soon as they daid over 1000 planets I knew it was gonna be procedual generated garbage.I like the simulation stuff, and really nobody does it like bethesda.
It’s this weird situation wear starfield got dinged in reviews for excessive loading screens, confusing systems, etc. But then Avowed got dinged in reviews for not having the simulation stuff that Bethesda games have.
On a technical level all those things people didn’t like about starfield are a direct result/consequence of having the extremely detailed simulation in the game.
I think there’s room for both sides of it. Bethesda gotta up their gameplay and level design, and Obsidian needs to do a little better at making their worlds feel real and lived in.
But Starfield had lots more handcrafted content than Avowed does. For me its not the simulation, as soon as they daid over 1000 planets I knew it was gonna be procedual generated garbage.
Same with the Elder Scrolls, yeah 500 dungeons but they are all the fukking same, that was impressive 20 years ago but now that shyt like that its common people expect more out of the big flagship franchises.
So the combination of no actual space travel plus all the planets being empty and looking the same its not surprise that game got the reception it got, I would even say the reviewers were generous with that POS.
