Oscar Grant gets accidentally shot by a White man not long after Obama won the Presidency, and now this Black woman gets accidentally shot by a White man not long after Harris won the Vice Presidency. I'm not saying I'm 100% sure he shot her on purpose, but I think your conclusion sounds a little premature.

There was absolutely nothing accidental about the Oscar Grant shooting. Did you see the video? And officer kneeled on him while another officer......I don't know what he was doing or claiming to be attempting to do, he started fumbling around like a retard and intentionally shot the man he was having a direct interaction with.

This dude wasn't even looking at his "friend" when he was trying to clear the jam and even injured himself. It could've been worse. He nearly blew his own arm off. He's just negligent. He didn't know where his "friend" was he was not managing where the muzzle was. He isn't a good "friend" nor a good gun operator. He's not safe to be around and it's a stretch to think he planned and executed that. Even Peyton Manning couldn't thread that needle. The guy literally shot his own arm (luckily) and not his own torso. If you can convince people that this was intentional then you need a YouTube channel and a video editor to break it down frame by frame.

I'm not saying he ain't a racist can I'm just saying there's absolutely no way he planned that. Like "ima shoot myself but make sure to kill her all in one shot that'll shot'em!"

Dude was clearing a jam. The muzzle was pointed toward the woman and he pulled back on the slide and it cleared....resulting in a discharge.



It was negligence. That dude wasn't watching where the muzzle was at.

He should have asked her to step back.

I've had serious jams and a range attendant tried to watch over me and be in the lane while I cleared with with a tool.

No more than one person should ever be in a lane. You can give instructions from a difference. No need to hover over anyone at anytime.

I took my then 7 year old nephew to shoot a rifle. Ironically that's almost to the day one decade ago. We've been shooting many more times since, rifle, handgun and shotgun. And never once have I been standing next to him or him standing next to me, nor do we intentionally or unintentionally point muzzles toward each other.

Muzzle discipline is preached. Plus ranges usually shut down and everyone’s escorted off if there’s a jam

I just bought my first gun (s&w m&p) this past weekend and was looking for ranges in my area, but this makes me nervous.

Maybe I’ll just do dry fire exercises and when a situation happens, shoot and hope for the best
