Black Panther came out, Black People criticized it for what it may have missed but we all felt it. Caribbean’s didn’t ask for their own BP. AA’s didn’t ask for a BP. Afrolatinos didn’t ask for a BP.
Shang Chi came out and I seen Philippinos n sht saying they want theirs. Raya came out and people said finally South East Asians is on. Almost all the Asian representation in media is Chinese and China dont fukk with them.
They discombobulated af and until that’s reconciled within their populous they’ll all individually borrow from larger, more established American cultures and more often than not, follow the path of least resistance which is why Black Culture is appropriated so heavily.
