oh you didn't know only cat suits make games "immerse"
So you wear a Cat suit bruh
Nintendo continues to drop classics people play for years, while MS, third parties, and even Sony drop games nobody plays a month after they release :umad:
Microsoft doesn't really make that many games, but the ones they do are more popular than nintendo or sony games.
Halo comes to mind. Soon, the next Gears of War :manny:
doesn't matter what I have and don't have. apparently everybody playing games on a system that can't even do larrybox numbers. Don't be sad.
Everybody except YOU

These threads are soo annoying to read quite frankly. :beli:.

Just shut up and stick to your old consoles then :wtf:.

What the hell is a "next gen" game?? These dudes have no idea what makes a game "next gen" but they use it almost every day as if it's a real word. The fact that one of you said everything could be done on last gen hardware shows your ignorance. A game isn't just simply textures and resolution :smh:.

I'm starting to realize this is a console gamer issue.
reading is fundamental, I guess you missed the part where I spoke about the a.i in games?

fukk next-gen graphics! Every new console should have better graphics than the last, it's not an achievement, it's a requirement.

We need to start caring about next-gen gameplay, who's stepping their game up and creating new game experiences never seen before. So far, almost nobody. The FPS genre is nearly dead because there's no innovation, just rehashing the COD formula that was starting to get old five years ago already. Closest I've seen anyone come so far is Ubisoft with ZombiU trying something very different (helped by the Wii U gamepad) and upcoming maybe Deep Down with its randomly generated dungeons and integrated online mode, although that one obviously borrows heavily from Dark Souls/Dragon's Dogma.

Dead rising is something that couldn't be done last gen from a gameplay standpoint.

TitanFall couldn't be done without the cloud.

It looks like Watch Dogs will be the first real "next gen" game for graphics and gameplay.

Hell, it could barely be done this gen.

Trapped in the graphics paradigm. Read through the thread and witness it. Denial stirs the mind, accepting that you fork over money for a 'next gen' proposition that packages up the same old gameplay in higher resolution. And at times, even that resolution can't disguise sub-par artistic direction and design. Honestly it's a critique of the industry, but consumers such as those in this thread are part of the problem. Watch. You'll see fewer new ideas, and higher resolutions and bam it's Hollywood.

I agree especially about the part where the ai isn't quite dynamic enough.

That might be due to the nature of the games though because some of the ai's from 90's fighting games seem to be some of the toughest ai's in gaming to date.

Is be incredible if they made ai's more responsive to the changes in your style and try to counter you that way. I don't see why they can't.

i think the problem is high end graphics are expected, and they cost a lot.

The longest cutscenes on ps1 were like 10-30 seconds at most. Nowadays theres games with crazy scenes that take a long time. That takes a lot of manpower and money to create. I feel like a lot of developers run out of money working on graphics and fail to deliver on gameplay in the end. The trend has been ongoing since ps2 and on, but gets worse each generation where much more amazing graphics are expected.

The A.I in killer instinct does this. If you win a couple matches using one strategy they will switch it up on you. I still can't beat story mode on hard :sadcam:

Same goes for shooters were enemies always pop up at the same spot retry after retry. Like there were games in the 00's that pulled off more dynamic AI, why the fukk are we still dealing with that super basic scripted shyt in 2014?

you could do more when most of the games budget and resources wasn't being wasted on purty hd graphics.
