He sure as hell didn't. Dude got a hefty handout (i think it was around a mil) from his father and ended up blowing all of it by the age of 27/28 that made him have to file for bankruptcy. He's always preaching to people how he was able to pull himself up and out of debt by working hard and doing all the right things, but folks like him never talk about the countless handouts and breaks they get, like it all came from hard work. Can't stand people like that.
I look at anybody sideways that listens to him.

This chick I used to fukk with for a minute used to love this old saltine crumb. She was also a “successful” garbage human being.

She started fukking her simp ass landlord while she was in grad school. She got “engaged” and left him soon as she started making 6 figures and paid off her student loan debt.

I recently saw this bytch is now a “public figure” on facebook always talking about financial advice and bragging about how she paid off this giant student loan debt, while completely neglecting to mention that she was able to because she got some simp to let her live there rent free and not work for 2 years. And she treated dude like complete shyt and used fukk all types of dudes behind his back all the time and laugh about it. :scust:

I don’t know how people can be that brazenly full of shyt. High-functioning psychopaths I guess.

He's not lying but I still want it.:yeshrug:

Upon listening in full, not one lie was told. If you don't make enough, go work two jobs... Simple
Are u serious? Honestly, and whoever dapped u buggin tf out too. So with these schools being remote and muthafukkas having to spend days with their kids in front of a computer. For people who simply don’t have the free time based on their current job schedule etc etc. Working 2 jobs is not as fukking simple especially if u already working a demanding position. People literally have ZERO foresight when it comes to other people’s situations god damn.

His financial advice is actually golden for the majority of people. People don't like it because it requires absolute accountability.
No it not. His financial advice is a broken clock right twice a day. If you're financial responsible and living well within your means with your debt under control he has nothing meaningful to tell you.

His debt avoidance is bullshyt. Embrace debt but do it responsibly. Don't buy any depreciating asset you can't afford to pay for in cash. That included a car. Go ahead and finance one but have the money in the bank saved to pay it all off. Put 50-60% down.

Use cash back credit cards for all purchases but have the money to pay the bill due and don't use them to buy things you don't need.

Automate your savings and you don't need a budget. Focus on big picture items and savings and you can leave yourself some unbudgeted spending money.

Unless you're dead broke always contribute to your 401K even when in debt because most places match 6% so it becomes 12%. You can't get the years to compound it back.

You don't need to pay cash for a house or get a strict 15 year mortgage with house payments less that 25% of post-tax pay. For most people outside if high income earners that's impractical.

I worked 2 jobs before. Two problems: the second job will probably be taxed higher because at least for me when I did it that second job raised my tax backet 10 years ago. 2nd it would have been more efficient to work overtime at my first job because the pay would have been higher. 3rd bonus it negativly impacted my performance at both jobs.

I don't think y'all understand the audience he's talking to.

The MAJORITY of this country has literally NO self control when it comes to handling debt and finances. That's why he's so anti-debt. Y'all are looking at it like his financial advice doesn't make the fullest sense based on what you technically SHOULD/COULD do with your money, but it's actually based on the emotional temperament of most people. He's telling people to avoid debt completely because most people don't have the financial intelligence or emotional stability to handle it.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Dave Ramsey is not the financial person you want to follow if you are black.

And the only reason why black folks even listen to this dude is because of many of us are so bad and uneducated with money that we hate the things that can actually help us if trained to use them correctly.

Blacks people have been poorly trained on how to finance items, use credit cards and get students loans the right way.

Your bytching and complaining about what you can't do isn't a solution. This is the first school year with virtual learning, so what was the excuse in the previous years before? You lazy fukks make up any excuse in the world to not be accountable for YOUR actions.

Even if one parent has to work two jobs for a short time to get the family in a better position, that's what they have to do.

I used to drive trucks and be a janitor at a fukkijg hospital in order to pay my debt. Most of you would think jobs like that are beneath you because you have a degree. I then got my job in sales and I was also splicing fiber all over Atlanta in the middle of the summer full time. I would literally get home at 1am and be back up and out at 6:30 am. Don't tell me what you can't do...

:mjlol: you wasting time breh you on the coli, most these cats here are in the 6 figure range and own businesses , the concept that the majority of people dont know how to handle money/ are broke because of debt is foreign to them. People are literally saying they need this money because there broke and in debt and you got dudes in here saying na your just not smart with ur debt

You don't solve a problem by avoiding it. Debt management and financial responsibility should be learned hand in hand. He's telling people to avoid debt because he had a bad go with it and it messed up his life. He sees it messing up other's lives. The reality is people need to short term focus and get out of bad debt then never get into it again.

When you do the math on what credit card debt cost you it becomes much easier. When you brainlessly use plastic to purchase things not thinking about the real cost you have a hard time controlling your finances.
