At $33K if you claimed 0 they will want more. You have to claim 1 all year to get anything back

Until you make $70K and up claiming 1 you have absolutely no clue what being fukked in the ass by the IRS with a spiked baseball bat feels like.

isnt it the other way around? i thought u had to claim 0 to get the maximum refund since claiming 0 increases the amount they take out of your check

im so lost on this bs. back when i was like 19 making less than 20k doing retail security i used to get around 800-1000. this some bullshyt ya'll

The higher that number the less they TAKE from your check.

Put it this way: When i have a bonus check coming and i want less taxes taken i go into the HR system at work and claim 4. That way less taxes is taken from the next check. Afther that i change it back to 1 so i dont get fukked come tax time

Claiming 0 is like saying your parents can claim you so you are not supporting yourself with that 33K. you have 0 dependants (including yourself). Only time you should claim 0 is when someone else is claiming you as a dependent on THEIR taxes

You can claim 10 dependent and come tax time it will all adjust



Basically you aren't entitled to a refund . It's called a refund for a reason

Claiming kids enables you to get the earned income credit which is like 3900 bucks minimum for 1 kid.Only way you'll get a refund not claiming kids is if you have low income.
