Houston can get way more than that for Wood’s services especially because of his production and contract.
That's fine. But that's all I'm personally willing to give up for him. He'll be a FA after next season, so the Bulls would have to cash him out with Zach getting maxed after this season.

We can't just trade Coby and Pat for guys that we don't retain long term IMO.

It's not a smart move because...

1.) We have Pat on a rookie deal for the next 3 seasons
2.) The forwards you would move him for are expensive or will be FAs after next season that you have the sign (along with maxing Zach)
3.) Way too much upside to move on right now

The argument for moving Coby is a lot different because we are loaded at the guard position and Ayo's play and fit with this team cannot be denied. Coby is capable of explosive scoring, but Ayo looks to be the better overall basketball player... and they play the same position.

With that said, I still am fine holding on to Coby and just picking up a solid big in the buyout market.

The thought of Coby moving on and balling out somewhere makes me sick. I'd say keep him because everyone could use a microwave guy, plus with covid and injuries that are bound to come, you get that extra reliable scorer.

We have no holes other than the 4, and I think we can find that 4 in buyouts or even bring a guy up from G league, take a page out of the Heat/Spurs book

Those are the type of gambles you take though when you have a potential championship window.

Is there any planet where we can land Sabonis or Turner from the Pacers?
Depends on what Indiana wants. Money wise, the Bulls could make it work because those guys make around 19 and 18M a year.

Coby and DJJ = 14Ms without any fillers, so yes it could work financially.
