I'm quickly coming to the conclusion Ayo isn't really all that good of a defender

he's always getting caught trying to recover rather than moving over to the next man, leaving his feet, biting on fakes, and watching his man more than the ball/the other action on the floor

He really isnt rn. That game against Trae was a mirage. He is eager and willing but makes typical rookie mistakes.

this inconsistency with players not Zach or Demar offensively comes from Zo being out & not having a structured offense

if shyt wasn't hot potato between Zach & Demar with occasional Vuc pnr...these other guys might be more engaged and effective on offense

I will attribute it to the knee

He was a solid defender earlier in the season

Pat back to just running around doing nothing. They even put him as the screener PnR action in the first half, and breh isn't even looking at the basket when he catches the ball after he slips the screen. This is how he was looking at the start of the year before he got hurt.

yea I'll admit I was reactionary to Ayo's earlier good play but don't believe I was ever pushing for trading Zo (maybe Coby )

his absence has really felt the past 2 months
