Ayo, Jesus was out here acting like a whole genie. And we act like it's a shock he was crucified.

Pharisees were some hating bytches.

I don't get how you could hate Jesus.

Like what did he teach that was wrong?

Like forget his followers..but listen to the message.

What is so wrong about it?

You'd have to have hatenin your heart or be a descendant of prophet killers to have disdain for Jesus.
He's teaching doesn't allow for the exploiting of others if you want to make it to heaven.... They weren't trying to hear all that:francis:explains where we at today as a society as well:francis:

I always thought it was funny, that every like 6th guy in bible had super powers, but none of that carried over to any sort of modern times
I believe a lot of the stuff the happened in the bible is just fairy tale retellings of actual history. Like Jesus was probably a real person, he probably really did preach and have disciples and he was probably really crucified. the rest of the stuff is just there to make to stories more entertaining and fabled. Keep in mine no one has ever claimed the he wrote the bible himself. This is product of human testimony and accounts being passed by word of mouth for centuries before being written down as historical record.

The bolded isn't true of the NT. The copies of the accounts are several centuries after the fact, but every single book in the NT was originally written down within 90 years of Jesus' death.

Unless there is a 1942 year old book preserved somewhere, that every bible is transcribed from word for word, the outcome is ultimately the same. plus 90 years is still plenty long enough. Grapevine rumors within a small classroom get fukked up by the time it reaches the last person.

:wow:
Jesus said it is our duty to try and become like Him. We have the capacity to be like Him or close to Him, but do we really want to or are we more inclined to living in accord with the various sensualities of existence?

1. The man who could become fit instead eats cake and chooses a slovenly existence.

2. The woman that could be a great business owner but instead stays in her position because she fears going out on her own.

3. The boy that could become a great scientist but instead chooses to not study and focus on the trivial matters of existence.

Jesus showed people what they could be, most will not walk that path. Just like most won't even do any of the above. They resign themselves to mediocrity when they have the capacity to be great.

Amen:wow::ohlawd:

Also not true. The oldest COMPLETE copy of the text is Codex Sinaiticus from about 350 CE., but, there are partial manuscripts/fragments from the 2nd Century. Since these are copies, this means they were copied from something that existed earlier. Also, originals aren't absolutely necessary to establish WHEN something was written, nor do they have to be 'word-for-word' as language is fluid.

Lastly, Oral Transmission is very accurate in non-literate cultures. So, suggesting the people telling these stories changed them to be unrecognizable from the originals does not follow regardless of how many years from the events they are told within that culture.
